Asking for "words" in message subject lines

So Something that has really got on my nerves of late is those asking you within their profile text to put a specific word in the subject line if you have read their profile.

The best bit, you read their profile oblige to their request of a face pic (understandable) and putting said word in subject line ....

They delete your message

without reading it.

I know that most women/couples are bombarded by single guys day in and day out, and I know it isnt classed as rude if they dont reply.

but why just delete the message without reading if they have followed your requests?

That makes no sense to me - Maybe im just crap with rejection! haha

How do you know they haven't read it?

Plus I always look at the profile before I open the message. If I don't like the profile what's the point in opening the message?

We message without using magic word. Sometimes get a reply. Sometimes not. We think its a little silly. But its their profile.

Because people know they can set all sorts of rules, still do everything exactly as they please (especially with single guys), and they will still get messages?

Message people who seem nice. If you don't like the requirements on a profile and aren't prepared for an unread and deleted message, then don't message. This place is a Hobbesian dream.

Point taken, to me it just seems obvious who have read it before deleting.

It's easy OP, don't jump through hoops if you don't want to.

Lots of messages get overlooked unintentionally, others unread / deleted.

It feels like rejection but in the big scheme of things I really wouldn't worry about it.

Lancashire

Some get that many messages they can't cope so they just hit the block delete button and they all go

usually ignore such requests and often get an answer - so obviously makes no difference to some

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Maybe the pic isn't as popular a you thought...

Think of the embedded word as their filter, not your doorkey.

Spell their codeword wrong. That'll teach them.

Brighton - even Hove!

I insist on a secret phrase to use in any message title which is "Steve you're a bloody good shag" so even if I get a message that says 'no fuck off' I still get the title to smirk over.

This is the key to getting a reply...the magic word insertion doesn't guarantee a reply!

I won't do

Some people play mind games and if they start of playing games it will get worse

I also generally note the insistence of using correct form of address or code words is a sign of narcissistic personAlity disorder

Deleted, because I have seen some that say read and then once deleted... they say deleted.

I never use the magic word and I've still had a proper conversation.
