After touching on the subject of latex with another Fab member, I would love to know the best places to buy latex dresses/outfits from.

Also, whats your experiences of wearing latex? Easy to get on/off? How well does it pull you in? Lumps and bumps?

Im asking as a plus size lady who isnt sure if to take the plunge and buy some or at least know where i can try some on..

Thanks in advance..

I'm probably not the ideal person to reply as I only recently bought my first piece of latex clothing. A dress.

It is a bit of a pain to get on and off, but us really worth the effort as it holds you in, is supportive and smooths lumps and bumps too.

I tried some on at Sexpo in Manchester before taking the plunge.

You will need to care for it properly and store it well.

It's not cheap so be sure before you buy, but I reckon you'll love it

Thats a great help Nita, thank you.

Ive looked at ones on the Honour website but thats as far as ive got.

They look gorgeous on the models but unsure how they would look on me.

Im definitely best to go to a shop and try on though as i will probably get a few pointers at the same time.

Do you put it on as it is or with talc? And did you go clubbing in it and manage to get it off ok? X

Ive also checked other sites but would prefer to try on. I did go on the hunt for a bargain and checked ebay out and they have some good makes but some i havent heard of like federation. They seem to good to be true though.. Made to measure dresses for £69.99?

That seems really cheap..

I'd personally stay away from federation your correct in assuming it's too good to be true clothing is very poorly put together as is the quality of the rubber/latex your at high risk of bursting through the rubber and the zips breaking I make made to measure fetish clothing but if your looking for off the peg check out catalystlatex dot com unfortunately rubber fetish clothing can be expensive but made properly and looked after carefully will last a lifetime

If you can buy off the rack then Libidex and Westward Bound have some good things on their websites. A few friends have things from there and they always look great. Libidex will do made to measure items too and sometimes have cellar sales in their shop if anyone is near London.

Mitcham, Surrey

I recently bought some lovely things from Westwardbound. They are expensive, but also do amazing 40% off offers...so worth keeping an eye on them.

Their customer service is second to none too...I need a quick rush turn around on a different size and they made that happen in 48hrs!

Do plan though, normally you're looking at up to 4 or 5 weeks as things are made to order.

I have a lot of love for the latex! Feels amazing...enjoy!

hiding from cock pics.

Libidex and libidex express have a daily half price offer on the websites and also have a shop near Covent garden to try on whatever you like.

Honour is great too.

I always need bigger sizes to be comfy in it than I would order in fabric items on the high street.

Looking at your pictures you are a good size for latex, it looks better on ladies with shape. You pay for what you get so rather than buying a couple of cheaper outfits spend money wisely on one good quality outfit (once you try you will want more). I saw a comment you asked about clubs, if you go to swingers clubs and play they are not great idea as you will get extremely hot and they are hard work to get on and off. If you just go to network then yes , it will get you noticed

Westward Bound!

All my rubber comes from there! Massive range, and they're brilliant about exchanges, refunds, and have even made adjustments free of charge and posted them back the very next day.

Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Also, if you sign up to be a Platinum member, they often send you discount codes.

Love their stuff!

For shining, after washing everything first, I use Vivishine, it leaves a lovely shine and garments can be stored with it on. No powdering to do each time.

The Pjur Cult shiner spray is great to take on a night out, as is a little sponge soaked in Vivishine and a little water.

You're not rubbish. It is high maintenance!

I take a little sponge with some shiner on in a ziplock bag, for touch ups. If you've vivishined, you won't go matte, but you might get tacky.

Getting latex off isn't a problem. It's getting it on!

Always go for something with a zip, rather than pull on. And you can talc the inside for ease. Although, I prefer to lube my body and the inside of the garment, so it slides on. It's an odd sensation. Very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer!

But the effect is so worth it. It genuinely flatters in a way PVC just doesn't, and because it holds everything in position perfectly. Awesome for cleavage!

Now you've enjoyed the pleasure of PVC x you can decide if latex will enhance you pleasure further x

I live PVC x I only tried latex once and it was a it of a palaver x

Getting into and out of it didn't heighten my play experience x

For the saving and the durability I'd rather just buy select PVC of the peg online x

I'd prefer choosing between my range of cheap PVC rather than my one expensive latex item x

I don't know I'm afraid, I'd ask a latex maker for the answer to that.

I've been told that to help store it, after washing it, put talc inside. If the sides stick to each other then you can misshapen the latex by pulling it apart.

"Now you've enjoyed the pleasure of PVC x you can decide if latex will enhance you pleasure further x

I live PVC x I only tried latex once and it was a it of a palaver x

Getting into and out of it didn't heighten my play experience x

For the saving and the durability I'd rather just buy select PVC of the peg online x

I'd prefer choosing between my range of cheap PVC rather than my one expensive latex item x"

I can understand that.. Latex is a fortune.

I will definitely be buying more pvc, thats for sure.

However, I really couldnt help myself tonight. Ive only gone and ordered a black latex mini skirt!!

Nothing to wear it with as yet mind.. x

"Oh and buy some shiner to keep it looking great every time you wear it

Someone has told me to use silicone spray from halfords.. Is that right?

I don't know I'm afraid, I'd ask a latex maker for the answer to that.

I've been told that to help store it, after washing it, put talc inside. If the sides stick to each other then you can misshapen the latex by pulling it apart."

It was a latex maker that told me.

The talcing sounds a sensible idea. Id hate to ruin anything..x

I know it can be a problem and I like to find the air conditioning and strike a pose! Watching the weather forecast can help too when deciding what latex to wear. Catsuits in warm clubs (often deliberately very warm for the undressers) is difficult. Getting cold in latex is just as bad. Best times of year for a catsuit is spring or autumn. I often find that my body gets accustomed to the ambient temperature and dripping tends to slow down.

Mind you, there are some latex lovers that love the sloshing inside a suit. Fitted feet on a suit can end up as a big puddle.

Keep wearing the smooth shiny sexy stuff.

Having a towel in your support bag can be useful

I just recently purchased my first set of latex leggings. I agree with everyone on here that they are a bit tough to get on and off. I turn mine i side out and apply a little baby powder. That helps immensely. One it is on it holds everything perfectly and looks and feels like nothing I have ever owned before. I can't wait for my next pair. There are pics in my profile with them on if you are curious.

Talc makes it easier to get it on, models tend to use a slippy water based lube, chlorinated latex is the best as no talc needed, one of the best but expensive makers is marquis xxxxx

Drink plenty of fluids so as not to dehydrate. Electrolyte sashays added helps replace lost minerals also... Sweating is part of latex wearing.. Some people sweat more than most... Depends on the environment and what you are doing whilst in your latex of course

hiding from cock pics.

I am an absolute lover of latex and have a brand new dress to wear tonight to go to le Boudoir, bought from libidex.

Libidex are currently my favourite manufacturer although I have some nice items that I really enjoy also from Honour.

I use silicone based lube to help me get into my outfits as I don't like the mixture of talcum powder and sweat if you use talc to get them on. Lube just feels nice and everything glides on much easier.

Latex clothing is much more expensive in my opinion to non latex clothing but the feeling I get when I'm wearing it I do enjoy so much.

I will be at the va tomorrow and wish I had a red latex dress to wear for their red and flower theme.

I think I will be going with a gorgeous corset bought for my birthday, with possibly a body stocking all in red.

I hope you all enjoy your latex.

"After touching on the subject of latex with another Fab member, I would love to know the best places to buy latex dresses/outfits from.

Also, whats your experiences of wearing latex? Easy to get on/off? How well does it pull you in? Lumps and bumps?

Im asking as a plus size lady who isnt sure if to take the plunge and buy some or at least know where i can try some on..

Thanks in advance..

have a look at The pantie purse

Order from Catalyst Latex in the UK or say Latex Catfish in China (dirt cheap) and they come chlorinated so they simply slip on, you don't even need lube or talc.

Libidex are a bit overpriced normally but their sales are good.

Atsuko Kudo and House of Harlot or Breathless for high end gorgeousness.

Westward Bound are ok, great designs and prices are reasonable but being honest their quality isn't the best.

As a plus size lady myself I found it difficult a few years ago to get reasonably priced plus size latex, it is fairly abundant now on ebay and in specific latex clothing stores, honour, libidex, house of harlot, and a few other places.

I made my own latex dress, custom to my measurements, for an event a few years ago was a great dress feels weird at first but after a while it feels like a second skin, like you are walking around naked! the thicker the latex the more it will pull you in and smooth you but the harder it will be to get on and off.

A few tips, talc on the inside of the latex, use a fluffy brush or your hand and coat all of it in talc, and apply to the sweatier parts of your body too, and latex shine for the outside if you want it to look like the pictures! Storage is important if you want to wear it again and again, clean, hang to dry and talc before storing it that way it will keep in best condition.

Have fun exploring the world of latex!

Burnleyish (She/They)

I've not read all the thread but don't use talc to get latex on and off.

Lube or pjur Cult is your friend. It takes a while to master the ability to get latex on with lubed hands but it's worth it in the long run.

Sweat and talc leaves a horrible nasty goo on your latex and on your skin. Not attractive... (Also lube leaves your skin soft and sexy)

As for were to get latex from, all mine is custom from Caroline and Pete at Cathouse

Havent tried catalyst yet but would definitely agree with Latex catfish. had a few pieces from them over the years and very happy with the quality, actually just ordered a new suit and jacket from them.

Also agree about Libidex, only really worth it in the sale. I have a few westward bound bits but have been really disappointed with the longevity of it all, was great new but they havent held up too well which is a shame considering how much I spent with them

I can't remember if they offer chlorination but I'm certain it would be extra. honestly I'm not fussed on chlorination really, if you wash and Polish your latex in vivishine it's simple enough to do. My last order came in without duty (marked as a gift by catfish) but that's not guarantee it won't happen, I'll keep you posted as I have a couple of things on order at the moment

Yes they do offer chlorination and it is an extra cost.

If thoroughly recommend them brought m2m one and is amazing. Also have one from libidex.

Wasn't charged for importing and total cost was just shy of £100.

I'm a huge latex fan - both wearing and seeing others wear it.

There are many sites around and it really depends on your budget - none of my stuff has been from high end places, usually the cheaper outlets and ebay. I have only had one item fail on me and that was the shorts in my pictures - and they were several years old and we were playing hard and I'm pretty sure they caught on a buckle and they ripped.

Chlorination IS the way to go - makes things so much easier and cleaner. You can do it yourself. Other sites tell you step by step instructions. As I can't post the links here if anyone wants the DIY method please message me and I will cut and paste for you.

Ive had lots of latex over the years and it can tear easily and break your heart so Id advise buying inexpensive clothes for play and spending more on party outfits.

The pic on my profile is all Westwood Bound. I bought two matching tops a skirt, open crotch tights and seamed atockings and by swopping the tops have four outfits. Ive had them for years and the only problem is the feet splitting due to dancing hard for hours in them in high heels.

For play I get stuff from Kastley whose designs are so old fashioned they are Retro or Vintage now. But they do thicker weights which means their stockings dont split at the toes. Their French Maids outfit is cute too but unfortunetely they stopped doing their frilly latex panties.

Will check out catfish though as always looking forfun stuff.
