Is it possible? Without just quitting work?

Is there exercise that lessens muscle size?

Epsom

I was under the impression that high rep low weight workouts are the way to do it. But I'm hardly an expert in this area. X

Thats difficult. You would need to start using miniumn weights when exercising if not dropping free weights altogether. Then focus on just simple easy jogging on a treadmill. Enough to keep your self fit and heart healthy but not pushing yourself that your torching fat or this will define the muscles you have. The less you use your muscles they will shrink(atrophy)so perhaps 2 gym sessions a week for a few months should see some changes depending on how often you go now.

My muscles are there because of my work. I added a garage conversion at home in on top of work but that's now done.

I had some pics taken last week and all but the two posted show a clear increase in bulk even though I'm lighter.

Now the work load has dropped I'm hoping I won't keep gaining but I want to do something to shed some.

I doubt doing more, but different, exercise would make muscle less, but i do wonder if diet maybe could do this?

I'm naturally muscly myself and never found a way to make myself less so.

Kent

Eat lots of cake. That'll put a nice layer over them and make them less obvious and you get to eat cake! Win/win x

"Avoid weights, drop calories and up your cardio"

Exactly lots of cardio and eat the minimum. You have to suffer unfortunately

Eat less.

Especially protein your body continually needs protein for its enzymes and cell structures eat a deficit and your body will break down muscle to replace it till you hit a new equilibrium.

Otherwise you're looking at things like testosterone blockers spike spironolactone but you'll also be needing to start on female hormones or you may risk osteoporosis due to no estrogen.
