Meet or not?

So I have arranged a coffee with a man from here for this morning, we have chatted loads and confirmed several times today's meet. Question is he hasn't been on since Friday, not read my last message or been on to message me about today, would you still turn up as planned or assume he bottled it?

hiding from cock pics.

If this is your only source of contact with him I personally whould message him on here explaining that if you don't hear from him you won't be going to meet him as you are unsure if you can still make it.

Personally I'd try to contact him which ever way you have of contacting saying if you don't here back from him one hour before the date that its all good and the dates still on you will not be turning up.

If he does not get back to you one hour before the date he's not coming sadly most likely got cold feet .I'm sorry to have to say that last line as no one should mess another person about in this way if that is what's going on here .

Meant to be at 11.30 and he hasn't been on still so I'm not bothering, if he shows and I'm not there, then it's his fault for not keeping in touch and I get to have a lazy day

If I'm meeting someone from here I'd always have exchanged numbers by now. And messaged on the day to confirm. If you haven't heard from him since Friday I'd assume no.

I dont like to exchange numbers until I've met for a coffee but do and would expect a message on the day to be sure it's still on, so I'm putting this one down as bottled it lol

I'm not sure I'd recognise someone from their pics enough to not have a phone number! If you didn't want to see them again you can always block the number. Anyway sorry your meet hasn't worked out. It happens sadly. Do something nice for yourself today!

Titz Towers, North Notts

If I said I'd be there, I'd turn up just to show good faith, but I think it is more sensible to send a message saying if you haven't heard you shan't go.

Considering it's now afternoon, what did you end up doing?

Yep for sure ,he wouldn't have been there, we always exchange phone numbers before a meet, text if then no answer tell them you are not going, you have done all you can then

I would have been there ,you have to take into consideration that fab requires a good internet connection in order to access on phone ,this is why I like to have a telephone number when I meet just in case trains are late or some delay befalls me

I wouldn't have gone. I would however have sent a message to explain that it was due to not hearing from him. That way you've done all you can do and are beyond reproach.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Hypothetically, how many times after I've arranged to meet someone do I need to re-confirm it?

I'd be pretty Damn annoyed if I turned up and the other person didn't because they'd pre-determined that *I* wouldn't.

Just a perspective...

I don't find meets nerve racking but why would a meet for coffee be nerve racking ,if you get to a point where you like eachother enough to meet swap numbers ,you can always block their number after and contacting eachother is a lot easier on the day

Well I would at least confirm on the day,if I'm going to meet someone I generally have good contact with them anyway right up until the meet

He still hasn't been on since Friday, and that's fine. I had a nice day and didn't go out of my way to plan meeting for coffee so nothing lost, people lose their nerve, have emergencies come up or just change their mind all the time, it's not the end of the world

It depends entirely on the circumstances and what has been decided when messaging. I always ask for confirmation on the day. If there's no confirmation then it's simple: I don't go the arranged venue. Other folk play it differently. I don't get no shows as this method has worked for me.

I have the same approach, but in the circumstance where that HASN'T happened, surely the right thing to do is to honour the commitment you made?

I'm wasting my time here, as clearly OP'S instincts were correct, and the fella didn't show either....but please remember that there are plenty of men who don't need checking with.

Don't meet as I send a message to check if a meet is still on, if I don't get a response I don't leave my house
