Ok it is my fate on fab to appear to attract the fakes n players on here so how the heck do you spot em probably a recurring theme on here so any advice is appreciated.

Look for up to date pictures and verifications and get a feeling from messages and in the forums

Adding at least some public pics would help. Remove the negative parts of the profile and perhaps break it up a bit into a couple of paragraphs

Your profile starts of abit negative saying if anyone read profiles, could you also make some paragraphs, most of all you need patience.

Ironically, your profile contains some excellent examples of what to look for:

No picture and only one verification that appears to come from the male half of the couple.

There's no evidence that the female exist and it all feels like (to me that is) as a single male posing as a couple.

And, further more this thread now feels like a means of you a gaining information as to how not to appear as a fake.

I apologise if I'm wrong but I'm just comenting of what I see.

No thats ok thanks for the advice i cant really verify myself as a female but i definately am unless i sprouted bits overnight

And if you're the woman that has verified the guy that verified you then why not say so - it doesn't need to be this complicated - it raises suspicion when it is and makes people wary.

Just trying to help - if people feel that you aren't being honest with them then may be reluctant to be honest with you or see you as fair game.

No understand what you saying i know theres a lot of fakes n players but was more from my inexperience of having a couples profile on here that was asking for advice. I totally understand why now youd think the way you do so its all constructive and useful.

OP not matter what you do your still going to run into fakes or time wasters .

I view it as the price of entry for this crazy silly sex meets world and think nothing of it

I'd suggest not investing any emotion into your search view as something you do to pass a bit of spare time .

if something comes of it great if not who cares because only by viewing your search in this way can you regularly laugh at the stupidity of it all .

That's how I look on it its a bit of fun that may lead to fun or it may not nothing more nothing less .

That way I'm not bothered by anything that happens during my search because come on its hardly life or death is it .

We personally look at verifications and actually read them. If someone is genuine then they'll publish a few verifications for us to read and thus deem them real enough to interact with.

If someone is brand new, they need to make a serious effort to attract our attention and win our confidence. This may mean not playing until you've found the genuine article so be prepared to go weeks even months without real interaction.

It's the safest way we think to survive on fab.

Hello all, been on this site now bout a year and find it really hard to get any meets, i message people nicely and not dirty as thats not the thing all the time and just get ignored or delete message? Where am i going wrong?

Thanks to everyone for your advice and comments this place is a minefield your damned if you do and damned if you dont i think learned a lot from my post it wasnt meant as a trying to find out how not to be fake was more trying to suss out how to spot them guess have found out the hard way how but appreciate all comments there really are some lovely folk on fab

How to spot fakes - chat to people. If they seem too good to be true, then use common sense. I think I chat so long that the fakes and liars either give up or out themselves.

I've been on fab (in the same area as you) for over 5 years, no timewasters - every meet I have agreed to has shown up.

The genuine folk up here are probably seeing the same issues that I do with your profile, but as you did not ask for a critique I won't say any more on that

No happy for a critique a couple profile is a a learning curve but as had a single female profile on here in the past on here it doesnt compare as the ratio of men to wonen is not equal more guys than women.
