i work 3 shifts, so it makes meeting up a difficult time, so why do people think you are messing them about, when you cant meet?

because some people think that if you are on here , you should be available ...have the same problem myself , busy life etc ... and then again , some people are just obnoxious and will find problems where none exist ...sometimes ya just cant win !!!

Im the same,I always tell people straight off that I have to plan around shifts

Most are very understanding though and don't mind waiting a while to meet up

So many people work different shift patterns now,its not unusual so if people think you're messing them around then let them find someone else to play with

Mrs G and I work vertually opposite shifts due to child care, it takes us months to get a day of together let alone a full week end, its a right nightmare for us as trying to find people who play mid week's just a bigger problem too..

Be fair, you only have to read the daily "timewasters" threads to understand why some people will be suspicious.

It has taken a year for me to meet one of my playmates simply due to work, both of ours and when we are free my children decide to stay home and his do too!!

We've met socially, we keep in contact, so both of us know the other is interested...just finding the time to actually play!!! As it is, playmates know that after Friday everything is on hold until February as the kids are home for the holidays!!!

If you make perspective meets know, I don't see why there should be a problem.

Not everyone is cynical - hopefully you'll find people that are understanding.

I work 5 on 3 off so changing days off a real pain in the bum!!!!

I work regular nights, Mon - Fri finishing Saturday morning, therefore, we're only available for meets Sat / Sun, it's not a problem for us meeting at weekends, it's only a problem for those who wish to meet instantly!

I work full time day job and shifts in a pub, whilst ive had people message me saying that they are down my way friday, which i ignored, most of those i have met, have been fine fitting in with my busy schedule

None of my playmates work 9-5 all work different hours or are in employment where they may have to cancel. Im aware of this and perfectly happy.

I was supposed to have a meet last night but something happened at work so he had to pospone until friday. Most people cant just meet at a drop of a hat and i would think most would understand
