What should I wear to ride a Segway?

Ross-on-Wye

I've been invited to ride a Segway tomorrow and I can't decide what to wear.

Doing some photos & videos.

Needs to be something not tight. Maybe a couple of silk scarves? Or a clear plastic mac, if there's a shower?

Perhaps on reflection!

It's not the best time of year for naked Segway riding though! On a serious note if you should be unfortunate enough to take a tumble some padding might be desired.

James Heselden who invented the segway accidently drove one backwards off a cliff and died. not the best advert ever

As it happens... there is actually a guy that likes me to wear an anorak. (Just an arorak) Really. It drives him wild. He's given me a very smooth soft slippery shiny one, it feels really nice.

But I think I'll stick with the microskirt, for the Segway.

We got the chance to go on Segways on hol in Spain last Aug. I wore a summer dress and flip flops and all was well. So I guess, just dress for the weather and what feels comfortable, you'll be given a safety hat.

I loved it, one of highlights of hol. Balance is not my thing either, useless at skateboarding, skating etc.

Have fun and enjoy!

I'm trying not to be too jealous

I'd be worried scars etc getting caught in the wheels.

Sensible suggestion jeans and a decent jacket

My only advice would be if you see a particularly photogenic piece of graffiti whilst riding, don't wonder how you could come back to take some naked pics - otherwise you might fall off and never live it down....

I have the balance of a d*unken elephant on a tight rope. If I could stay upright then anyone can - mini skirt, no knickers I would suggest!

Well, you're all going to have to wait for the Segway photos.

The single guy who supposedly had one, and a discreet place to ride it, invited us down to Bournemouth to try it out. Careful precautions as usual - two phone calls, several texts. Checked postcode, it was real.

Then when we got there (over 2 hour drive) he mysteriously vanished.

So hey ho that's still an unfulfilled fantasy.

We went to Studland nuddy beach instead, it was gorgeously warm & sunny. Also discovered a really nice Hungarian restaurant. But not quite the day we were hoping for.

Unless you've ridden a Segway dressed as a Panda you've never properly rode the machine.

A balaclava. Riding one of those makes you look silly. At least no one will recognise you.
