"Forum posts are weird too..i posted a message and like 10 secs after clicked the forum board and it said i posted it 3 mins ago?? strange." I've noticed this. What I think may be happening is that the timestamp of your post is actually the time that you clicked on the thread to read it, and not the time that you clicked the 'post message' button. If it takes you 2 minutes to read the posts in a thread, then it'll be 2 minutes out of synch. From a geeky web development point of view, I'm guessing that there's a variable that gets stored in the .asp page on page load, and this is being passed back to the web server when you click post message which then records it along with your message. I'm purely speculating here, so I may be completely wrong and barking up the wrong tree. I can't be bothered to load up wireshark to capture my traffic to see what is being passed back and in what format. Maybe I should get out into the 'real world' more often.

"I think it's more likely to be the timestamp of when you clicked "reply" - takes me hours to read some threads, but I never see more than 2 minutes on my brand new posts." Ahhh, yes. Now that you mention it, that's actually what I meant - just not what I said ![]()
