"We don't get the "without pressures of sexual activity" as bandied around when talking about socials... Never seen any pressure to engage in sexual activity in clubs, socials seen to have all of the disadvantages of not going to a club! " Granted, maybe 'pressure' was the wrong choice of word. What I mean is that some folk want to meet with other swingers but refrain from sex activity.

We've been to organised socials in "some vanilla pub" and it was fine. Not everyone wants to pay an entry fee and the conversation wasn't stifled we all sat well away from prying ears. So my answer to that would be.....why not?

" Socials are great for newbies, the "no pressure" angle means that, unlike a club/party, they can relax knowing no-one is going to expect anything more than a chat, a drink, maybe a little flirting. We think of them as a great night out with old friends, with the chance to make new friends.

The ones in South Wales are held in function rooms of pubs, so everyone there is a swinger, theres a door list, so things can be more relaxed, and you can, within reason, be as open as you want.

"What if the pub was fully booked out, ie no prying ears?" The one we used to go to knew that it was a social for members of an "internet forum" and used to reserve a large corner for us. It was fun and the pub benefited from our custom.
