Read the persons profile, that's the important bit so you know if you're what they're looking for then base your message on something in it asking something to encourage a response.

"A collection of words that hopefully make sense "

Ahh that's where I've been going wrong. I have been writing sentences that don't make sense

Not cock pics, don't be crude, try put bit of comedy in it and be respectful.. Dont ask for a meet, don't say what you wanna do to them and most important of all be yourself, if you're interested in going for. picnics or if you like to bother animals, be yourself, at least your being honest to yourself.

Having said that, there are some who want you to tell them the complete opposite of what ive just said.

Best thing is to read their profile and try figure out who is behind the profile and write accordingly, some people are quite open in their profile so its easy to know whether you have similar outlook.

Prepare to get lots of people ignoring and deleting without reading etc., some people have no manners or courtsey.

At 1st I didn't get anywhere, no one repying then I follows my own rules above and hey presto, I'm actually engaging in decent conversation with a few ladies.

Have fun n be lucky.

You could send the same message on different days. One day it will get deleted instantly the next day you will get a reply. The mood of the recipient is a big factor.

Well hopefully you use a series of words which when put togther form a coherent sentance.

As others have already said try and use something from their profile. Of course there is no guarantee of success but it does at least show them you have actually read their profile instead of just looking at the pictures.

An absolute must for anyone receiving a message will be an acknowledgment that you've taken the time to read their profile. Include bits you like about their profile, make the message unique to all the others that say that same old hi how r u ur hot. Be eloquent. Have style. And just make it personal to them!

As cliche as it is... Be yourself!!!!

We tend to start with "Hi"

Then something specific to the couple

Then sign it.

You're welcome.

As an example of what NOT to send, I had one the other day that said 'I wil shw u agud tym'! So my advice is - definitely do NOT use text speak, make your message relevant to the recipient and be polite!

But most men can't read its much quicker to message without looking at profile just the pic is enough surely

We mostly ask how people are finding the site, take an interest in the opinion of others. Comment on clothing, ask where they got it. If you remove sex from the equation, think about what you would ask people if you met them in an everyday situation. You wouldn't go up to a couple and say nice tits. You would start a conversation more naturally. It's working for us anyway.

"What do you put in a first message? "

Most important thing READ people's profiles and be nice to people, send pics. I have a couples and single man profile, to get meets you have to put some effort in.

There are some essential statements you need to make to ensure you stand out;

Ask how they are;

Ask how their week is going/having a good day;

Are they enjoying the site;

Ask what they are looking for; and

Never acknowledge the guy in a couple.

Optional;

Comment on the weather

I have been on here a year or so now but I have literally just started using it.

I didn't have a clue how to work this. I just didn't know what to do! I started with, rightly or wrongly, " Hello there, I just wanted to say 'Hi' and 'break the ice'. "

I got some responses so it was a start I suppose.

I have since tried to ensure I have left obvious "proof" that I did read their profile, but I never, ever swear or anything as I don't want a lady to read harsh language.

I'm still learning and, admittedly, haven't got anywhere yet!

Maybe I never will
