I've met someone who we both agree that we have a connection and enjoy each other ,but in a throw away comment he said he prefered size 12 ( im a curvy 16) . he stills wants to meet regulary and build on things but i keep declining . i want to see him again but would feel self consious . so do i diet lose curves or just walk away and stop all contact ?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Never diet for someone else, only for you.

Right, now that's out of the way, if he wants to see you again, go for it. A lot of people have preferences that sometimes fly out of the window when they meet someone special. He might like size 12s (and to be honest, women are such a dazzling array of shapes, there isn't an average size 12) but he prefers you.

or stay with him and remain the size you are. Change for a man and you aren't remaining true to yourself if he wanted a different woman he would have chosen one.

If you feel that you know him just treat it as a throw away comment

This probably doesn't apply to this man but some people do make little seemingly throw away comments and their real intention is to subtly undermine.

Never change to be with someone else. If they don't appreciate you as you are then walk away and find someone that will.

I have preferences. My squeeze off here hardly matches any of them. She's awesone none the less. Individuality matters more than anything else.

Some men can't judge women's sizes ... they throw numbers at people hoping they sound right.

i spoke to a guy face to face recently who described someone as really obese and guessed they were about size 16.

I asked what size he thought i was, he replied 12.

im a 16.

bless them..... they are trying !!!

He accepts you the way you are otherwise you should walk away, however hard, in my opinion. Would you be a different person if/when you lost the weight? We had a similar conversation recently. I need to lose the weight for health reasons but it won't make me a different person. Those that aren't interested in meeting me/us based on my size now won't suddenly get an opportunity when I'm slimmer as I'll still be the same person. Although I do accept appearance has a huge influence on attraction.

I think he's a little insecure at times . he wants things but won't actually come out and say it x

That's fine as Fab is often an experience of exploration. I know neither of you so my only advice would be to be a bit cautious. I (fem) am pretty risk adverse when it comes to this xx

Sounds odd this ... are you wanting casual fun, or are you wanting a bf? Loose the weight if you want to try and poach him off (doubtful it'll work on here), or keep it and stay single if you want the fun! It sounds like you are over thinking what your end goal is here - especially as you have met on fab

Personally I wouldn't continue a relationship with someone who prefers a size I am not as I'm afraid that I would feel I was second best or a make do until someone the size he prefers comes along. Being used isn't something I'd want at all and I've had a guy change a comment in his profile just so I would meet him

If it's early days let it go - we are all insensitive at time because we are not perfect. Have fun, enjoy and if it is a real issue then move on x

This has happened to me many times and I have to say I never really get over the throw away comments. My issues though not theirs but it's never the same afterwards. If you can forget about it and treat it like a throw away comment do it. Life's too short to worry.

if you don't feel confident after this comment then no I wouldn't see him again. it's only going to play on your mind. it was tactless and maybe he didnt mean it but who wants to "settled for" hope it works out and you meet someone who loves your curves x

Like someone else said some men have no idea what size people are..One guy told me a woman was huge 'like a size 18'....I said 'err like me then' (I was at time)..He said 'no way, thought you were a 14'

There's every chance he has no idea what size you are.

Also I like big steroid head tall huge muscley men in the street. My fb is my sexual soul mate and I have never met anyone like him sexually in my whole life who turns me on and makes me feel amazing. .He is total opposite of my 'ideal man'

Carry on seeing him but maybe tell him you bit upset and give him clip round earhole for being a thoughtless bloke!
