"I currently am. All fairly new and taking it slow, but he's the best thing that's happened to me on this site. ![]() I am in a relationship with someone I met on here. I don't think I could date outside the lifestyle now. I'm sure there will be points in most swinging couple's relationships where one loses interest or wants a time out. I think it's natural to go through phases of things, which may not be timed with your partner. If I enter into a relationship with a swinger then I accept that and wouldn't ask them to change. I think for me, it's more than just an activity. It's a lifestyle. There will probably come a point when our 'rules' might need to be renegotiated but I'd be in it for the long haul. I don't agree with trying to change people. I don't classically swing. But I feel very much a part of a swinging lifestyle. It's the social side too and I feel freer and more comfortable with people that swing or are on the fetish scene. Asking someone to stop swinging in my eyes is taking away some of their freedom. I can't imagine someone telling me now that if I loved them, I couldn't practice BDSM. I'd firstly query their love for me then secondly, walk away.

"I don't see it as trying to change them, it's being open and honest about what you want. I wouldn't want a partner to continue swinging, or anything, just because they thought that that's what I want? Maybe I'm thinking of it as taking time away from here and the lifestyle to focus on ourselves and build a relationship before possibly returning to the lifestyle. All couples on here say you need a solid relationship and a high level of trust to swing as a couple? " I didn't read your comment properly. I read it as him saying he wanted both to stop swinging. If he wanted to stop swinging, that would be up to him. I would continue alone but I'm sure it would affect our relationship because it's such a pleasure to share to together. It wouldn't be fulfilling doing it alone and I would feel like we were mating growing apart I guess.
