Hi guys, just checking are a lot of the armed forces transferring from Fleet to Chatham in October?

Haha, its nothing top secret! If you google "army 2020 locations" you want the 4th result down which is a PDF called "Regular Army Basing Plan". That will tell you where units are based (or were) and where they are going to (or have just moved to).

As a lot of barracks in chatham are closing, i wouldn't think so, not unless there reopening hms wildfire

Thanks - just a FB of mine said he is transferring to Chatham and that a lot of them are also from Fleet so I should visit him there... think he's telling a little white lie... x

I knew the second i read your original post that this was why you were asking. Military guys tell me stories all the time about how they're not supposed to tell girl about the postings page coz then they can't lie to them. Lol!

What do you mean by Fleet? The place or is this guy Royal Navy, there is the RSME in Chatham, so if this guy is Royal Engineers then there is every possibility he's going there for trade training, however most RE postings are as individuals, if the entire Regiment is relocating then its easy enough to find out with a google search.

And before anyone harps on about persec theres nowt above that exceeds the OSA. Its all easily available on google.
