Brighton - even Hove!

Very dark chocolate is a good idea. Try a banana instead or non salty nuts and seeds. Even a slice of whole meal toast with jam and whole earth peanut butter cut into little squares would be better than any pre packed sugar snacks.

Lovely, I totally feel your pain. I gorge myself with an attitude of "fuck it, I could die tomorrow and I really enjoy this", after I've eaten I am filled with self hatred and total disgust at my lack of control. I think, "I'll remember how this feels the next time I'm tempted". Never works though. I get so frustrated with myself because the only one who can change anything is me!

It's not pathetic mate, it's actually quite the opposite - you've realised that this is a problem for you and you're taking steps to sort it. Good work! I used to be a big lad and addressing my diet was a big, but slow, game changer. In addition to overhauling my mealtimes, I still get snacks but individually wrapped so I can't absentmindedly smash a pack of biscuits or big bag of crisps! Weight watchers/slimming world/common sense will all help, as does a weekly menu and strict shopping list. Some healthy stuff will require more prep time but cooking and freezing in bulk cuts it down. Good luck mate!

You should look into cognitive behavioural therapy. It helps retrain the brain out of unhealthy patterns.

I've found that beneficial for other stuff but nothing has helped with my eating x

You need to sort out the root of the problem first, why you feel the need to comfort eat.

I find I reach for unhealthy snacks as they're easy to eat. If you prepare some healthier snacks and store them in containers in the fridge you can reach for them instead.

Green & Blacks dark chocolate is nice & you only need a small square to get that chocolate hit.

hope this helps x

As silly as it sounds, brushing your teeth helps curb the eating cravings, my doctor told me a few years back.
