a lot of single guys complain about not being noticed or treated badly here.

so you wouldn't really expect them not to turn up to a date, would you?

I get a bit fed up with this site. we are all people. some respect?

We arranged a group sessionn recently and all but one guy turned up.We always invite people we have met previously or recommended by friends or well verified... And one or two newbies .it was the newbie that showed up.

Sadly with fab being in the media so much lately we think it's getting worse.

Happens all the time , we had our first party a few weeks ago, a single guy who we've met several times and we'd say was a banker to turn up didn't turn up and never said a thing, and a couple who we met for a social, messaged us an hour beforehand to say they were excited about coming and were leaving shortly didn't turn up without any word, can happen to any of us

Not surprised at all at a recent Newport singles social 100 men put there names down to attend and 76 didn't turn up, no contact was made by any of them to the organiser before hand to say the they couldn't attend, 3 females couldn't make it but contacted the organiser to tell her before hand.

On a slightly different note, have you noticed that the Latin for queen is Regina which rhymes wonderfully well with Vagina. There's a basis for a limerick if ever I saw one.

If a firm agreement to meet has been made and they dont turn up and you don't like their excuse, then report them as above. Whatever sex.

you were the one that picked on single guys in your OP... I said its not just the domain on single guys....

why do some single guys react so angry on this?

I explain it again....... the fourth time?

I know that couples and single women sometimes don't turn up to meets.

it happened now that single guys didn't turn up to meet us.

I am personally surprised that this happens. because I see it very often that single guys complain here about not being treated well.

and therefore I would have thought they would take a chance and turn up.

this is all I said.

I didn't bash single guys.

I didn't say women and couples are better.

maybe I thought single guys are more honest, because I don't see a reason why they would lie.

behind a single girl there can be a guy who pretends to be a girl. or a girl who just wants some attention.

behind a couple profile there might also be a single guy.

I thought if you have a single guy profile the changes are high that you really are one. and that you are genuinely looking to meet someone.

got it now, guys?

some people react over the smallest thing, why are you surprised...

threads focused on single guys will bring out the same old, same old stuff. People will grandstand their lets down over and over again and it changes nothing.

7 years ago, 3 years ago, 1 year ago & in a years time, the same things will be happening the people you are trying to influence, unlikely to ever read your words....

Dosent matter if its male or female but it does seem like its more male than fem so if you get let down for not a genuin reason then your right to post it if your a gen bloke it wont stop you getting meets but sitting on fab and not going to socials or clubs will shorten your odds.

The point of the op was simply that it is puzzling that do many guys complain that they can't get meets , yet plenty say they will turn up for a meet , and don't.

We used to believe that couples and single women were the worst for this , but believe me , single guys are the worst by a country mile !

Our block listt for single guys not showing up with no excuse is now nearing 100 !

We only have 5 couples and 2 single women on it for the same reason . And no tv's .

Hard facts , but facts all the same

But as I said earlier - are these no shows from guys posting forum threads bemoaning their treatment and their struggles to get meets - or are they from the 99% of the male Fab population that don't set foot in the forums?

The higher volume of male members will undoubtedly mean there is a higher probablility of a let down.

It's simple numbers.

But whether you're looking to meet guys, women or couples there's always a risk. And many things you can do to minimise (but never remove) that risk.

Ahhh OP but have you been stood up 5 times in one night by 5 single men who swore on their mother's lives they would meet you in a club? I have. Well at least the funeral directors in my area made a killing

I helped organise a bi fem social the other week. All the ladies turned up that said they would (bar one who was a maybe but even she was messaging us on the day). The general consensus amongst us was that genuine women will turn up if they say they will and most single men on fab just talk the talk. That is why the successful men on fab are in demand. Women and couples can see through the bullshit.

Being serious though ... i always arrange to meet anyone for the first time socially for a coffee (where ever Im going to be at the time) ..... or at a club as there's no loss then if they don't turn up.

From my experience there are lots of fabulous genuine people on fab and long may it continue.

Just curious - how will reporting help? I've never thought or expected this site to do anything about no shows?

Fake profiles using others peoples pics, being rude or aggressive in messages, yes - but not policing meets.

It's like complaining to google that your plumber didn't turn up.

Trying to wade through the fakes is getting tiresome, I see so many negative comments about single guys but my god the so called single women profiles that turn out to be fake is unreal. I trust no one on here now and treat them all as fake until proven otherwise. There has to be a better vetting system than the one in place now.

"If I ever secured a 'date' to meet I'd be there.

Trying to wade through the fakes is getting tiresome, I see so many negative comments about single guys but my god the so called single women profiles that turn out to be fake is unreal. I trust no one on here now and treat them all as fake until proven otherwise. There has to be a better vetting system than the one in place now. "

Gut instinct - nothing's more reliable

did I say it was in the OP, she is meaning some single guys, not all of us, that is really clear in her thread.

the third time now: where do I say all of them?

we can discuss. but can't just blame me here without being able to show me where I did it.

do you understand that?

I think it would be nice if we could take a deposit , only refundable if they turned up.

In reality it would not work, but in theory it's good

"Just curious - how will reporting help? I've never thought or expected this site to do anything about no shows?

Fake profiles using others peoples pics, being rude or aggressive in messages, yes - but not policing meets.

It's like complaining to google that your plumber didn't turn up.

I arranged to meet a couple when I got there it was a empty house tried to mail them and found they had gone offline so blocked them and reported them to admin as being timewasters the next day they had been removed by admin"

Ok, I'm a bit surprised and fail to see what's stopping anyone saying this about anyone else?

Still if that's how it works fair enough. Admin must be busy
