It depends how they use their intellect. If it is to belittle others of lesser ability, then no. Otherwise yes, the brain is a great turn on and it gives you something to talk about between sex sessions.

Oh so true....most don't know how intelligent I am as I deliberately hide it after years of abuse. Most just think I'm a dippy, bubbly women, but when needed I come out all gun blazing

Some think that spouting a few fancy words makes them loom intelligent but most are used in the wrong context and just makes me think they've been using Google or a thesaurus and selected words they think sound good!

Interesting that you say that some haven't had the same educational opportunities. Everyone has similar opportunities in this country, don't confuse wealth and intelligence.

It's just that some choose not to apply themselves at school because as they might put it "bovvered".

In answer to the first question. You're obviously seeking out the wrong suitors. There are plenty of intellectual men and women on here from all walks of life. And that's just from observation.

Not that it's got me laid though. Although that's probably more about lack of trying.

I'm unsure of your meaning OP. What exactly do you mean when you say 'stand a chance '?

Due to d ratio of men to women on here then all women are virtually guaranteed meets. If you mean is their intellect a barrier towards them meeting with men they may consider to be shallow or less intelligent ?....then perhaps, but isn't it the case that most women on here use their own decerning tastes and intuition to select meets rather than necessarily bringing intellectual compatibility / similarities into the forefront of their selection processes ? If the later question is closest to your intended meaning, then I'm sure as the vast vast majority of women on here are intelligent, their intelligence is probably only going to hinder the fun of a small minority of people who believe themselves to be of vastly superior wisdom and knowledge to most other fabbers.....thus leaving them little choice but to arrange a sub-group of FabMENSA......or go shag themselves !

It depends how you want to define intelligent. Are you intelligent because you have a high iq, or are you just good at solving puzzles and lateral thinking.

Are you intelligent because you got all the questions right in your specialist subject in mastermind,or are you just could at studying and retaining facts and figures.

To me being intelligent is being able to absorb the information around you and to be able to use this to adapt to situations you find yourself in. Alongside commonsense this is invaluable to get on in life...

Using a judgemental put down in your OP is guaranteed to fire up the indignation, especially when each reader defines the question differently. I seen impassioned arguments for qualification-based intellect, that liberalism=intelligence, IQ wars, emotional intelligence etc etc etc.

Its a broad church. While I personally avoid the gullible/vulnerable/withdrawn, I find strong willed intelligence leads to people "knowing what they want" and narrowing their experience. Give me an enthusiastic, engaging, dithyrambic woman any day!

Not sure how you measure the intelligence of anybody, I have a chemistry degree from Cambridge, hubby does not, I don't think I have a higher level of intelligence than him, so is this whole thread mute? The dumb ones usually are hot the clever ones rely on their brains and personality as common sense ( to women only ) that men like that .

I blame East Enders and bianca Jackson men like quiet women not opiniated bossy shouting miserable ones . Men certainly don't like women who nag them into doing things or even worse the ones that think that suggestion they made to us is the mans idea ,

I am sure speaking a lot and constant attention is insecurity and even though it's flattering to start with its annoying. After 10 minutes

Women should stay at home look after the children and the old. They should hang around with other women and leave us men to go to the pub etc etc
