Random friend requests... From women and couples!

Hey everyone,

I was hoping some ladies and couples would be able to shed some light on this particular phenomenon. During my time here, there have been numerous occasions where a single woman or couple has, our of the blue, requested I become their friend. No chat beforehand. Being a single guy, I would be remiss if I didn't grab the opportunity to forge a connection with an interested party

So I accept their request, and start a conversation with them, only to be wholly ignored! My message is read, but taken no further.

Is there some other reason they've chosen to add me? After seeing my face in private gallery, did they change their minds about me? And if so, why haven't they removed me from their friends list? It's just a little odd.

Any insights?

they probably just wanted to see your pics and had no intention of talking.....

i don't accept friend requests unless i have spoken to them first..... so if they send a request i politely ask to speak to them and get to know them a little first... the the ball is back in their court

We get that a lot hence we now have face pics in our public pics so people know exactly what their getting. There's a lot of picture stealers on here so as above we don't accept random friend requests

We get it all the time, either ignore it or add them when they're offline, look at their pics then delete them

we allways message when we get a request. saying message us and then we may accept the request. most of the time we never hear back. Probably just want to view private photo's

Agreed. Also, we only accept friend requests if there are plenty of private pics for us to see too....otherwise there is no benefit to us

I don't have any time for people that do that...when I get random requests from people that can't be arsed sending me a message of interest, I can't be arsed acknowledging their friend requests! They get ignored, plus I only add people that I've conversed with and definitely want to meet...even my friends list has a filter!!!

I have had the odd random request from couples far away [as in hundreds of miles] who don't even want to meet people of my articular vintage...When I have a look it does sometimes seem that they may want to have loads of friends and therefore increase the fabbing of pics to get on fab pages...I am sure that isn't always the case but it has happened a couple of times with me.

Each to their own though...

We regularly get them and occasionally send random ones if we are being lazy.

We don't really take it too serious but we have clear face pics on ours so sometimes get a bit miffed when the other profile doesn't.

I'm also guilty of admiring OPs hot body pics

In terms of friend requests, I delete them all unless it's someone I'm chatting to. I regularly have a friends clear out and get rid of people I'm not chatting to anymore. My friends list is people I have met, or want to meet. Not photo collectors!

Oh we'd well n truly pee you off, lol.

Bin them is our advice. We use that function for potential meets and those we've met. The hotlist is used for those we'd like to meet without them knowing as to not appear to lead people on as in your case, when we want to meet and they're happy to we become friends. Works well we've found.

Not only women and couples do this, Ive had random friend requests with no message prior to request. I dont accept them
