Why do some people not write more than one line when contacting others? It is very difficult getting to know someone and see their personality if they only write a couple of words eg - hi how are you?

Is it just laziness or am I expecting too much?

How much is too much / not enough to begin with?

I don't like the 'fancy a what's messages, but I imagine that three things might be happening with the nicer one liners. First, it could just be that they are nervous and don't know what to say. Second, it could be a good conversation starter-in the 'real world' you wouldn't walk up to someone and tell them everything about you. You would say 'Hi, how are you? Blah blah...' And finally, it could be that a vast majority are just lazy and hoping one if their cut and paste messages stick. I try to decide which category a person falls into within a few messages

Wow to my phone's autocorrect! Apparently fuck isn't in my phone's dictionary. That should have been "fancy a fuck" in my previous post, not "fancy a what's" Apologies for being incomprehensible.

If people cannot converse then they are going to bore me before, afterwards and probably during too. Good sex is about communication not just the physical act. It is made worse by the fact my profile says no one-liners so they can't read or talk either zzzzzzzz. What makes it worse is when they send a paragraph and when you don;t reply they assume they can get away with a one liner to change your mind. Why is this only a problem caused by men?
