"Why does being nice and polite get you no where these days ? " It's just the way Fab is unfortunately. It's very rare to find nice polite people on here.

"Why does being nice and polite get you no where these days ? " OP there are way more nice and polite people on Fab than arses. Way more. Do you really think it's just the dicks, cunts and arses that are having a good time? A *well I suppose they are - but they're usually attached to nice people.

"Why does being nice and polite get you no where these days ? " I get nice, polite messages from people outwith what I'm looking for: I ignore them, as my profile, when visible, clearly states what I'm looking for and says I won't reply to those outside my meet criteria. I don't think it's nice or polite to ignore someone's preferences, but that's just me! I'm not saying that is the case here op, but without the background to your question mine is just an example of why being nice doesn't always cut it.

Being nice and being polite are fine qualities but won't be enough on their own to secure a meet, although a polite message may stand out amidst a barrage of nasty one-liners which will help your chance. Then you must ensure that you have a well written profile.
