I know everyone is different and obviously if there are any concerns about a partner youve had sex with you would go sooner...

But how often on average do you go?

I asked at the clinic but he said "play it by ear" which wasn't too helpful.

I made it clear I was venturing into the world of swinging too.

We usually play safe but saying that I still think it's worth a check up often. Saying that it's been a while for me personally.

I told my clinic about my activities and they said every 3 months would be sufficient. I'm surprised at their advice at your one to be honest.

He was really good about everything else.

Maybe I should be more specific, he said it was theoretically possible to have the chlamydia check every 2 weeks, but blood tests every 3 months.

I told him I would be using condoms 100% of the time.

I'm thinking I would probably go every 6 weeks if I've been quite active.

It can become quite obsessional and pretty boring.

Used to go 6 monthly and as I rarely practice high risk activities, I now go annually (unless I had some symptoms).

Had the all clear for more than 30 years..clinics much less judgemental now and more comfortable

We go every 4-6 weeks. But we do play with others every week... So we feel it's best .

I actually have blood tests for a medical condition that can mean I'm tested as often as every 2 weeks but that's something I have to have when not well anyway.

I was advised even playing safe that with how active we are that we have the right schedule x

I very rarely play, and have only had sex with one person since august.

I got tested before we were sleeping together, got tested after 3 months, and if there are no others, will likely go to 6 months between checks. If there are any other meets, I will stick at 3 monthly.

you dont get a card if you pass, but if you fail they give you a special bell..ringing 'unclean,unclean'!!!

I'm a frequent flyer, so swab every month and bloods every 3.

If I have been particularly greedy then I tend to oral swab weekly.

my GUM clinic are awesome and I day ever have to wait.

exactly the same here, including blood tests for medical reasons every 2 weeks. I use my local GUM clinic and the Terence Higgins Trust

Full screen every 3 months. I go in between for swabs if I'm playing a lot. Swabs only cover meets from two weeks or more ago and won't pick up the more dangerous nasties.

I use the new onesie by durex to keep myself safe

I have them every time I get tested at the clinic... I won't use a condom for oral... But in Many many years and more than a few cocks.. I've always so far been clean.

I have however come across many people in this lifestyle that assume because we go so often we must bareback ... As apparently if we were playing safe.. why would we need testing and they seem shocked when you tell them that you can still catch things using condoms x

I have them every time I get tested at the clinic... I won't use a condom for oral... But in Many many years and more than a few cocks.. I've always so far been clean.

I suck way way more guys than I fuck....clubs can up the figures considerably....in clubs I only fuck my clean fb but suck many many guys.....I pop down the clinic and have quick oral test about a week after playing in a club...otherwise it is about every 3 months even using condoms x

It is worrying how people seem to think safe sex is just about using condoms and people also presume those whom they play with get tested regularly too. Oral chlamydia is one of the most common stds. Good to see some of the alternative lifestyle clubs offering sexual health checks especially if people are worried about their sexual choices being judged.
