Exploring bondage

Have developed a taste for bondage and am looking for.... Well training help. I know you can buy books or watch videos but I want to try for real. Have perfected tieing boobs up but that took a while after watching a great video.

Anyone able to help?

It can be quite hard to navigate the site at first but keep trying as there are lots of groups and information that would be helpful. Peer rope events will be useful for you to attend.

I don't like Fet life but there are some good photos on there.

I'd say read plenty of filth and let your imagination do the rest - step by step sex isn't sexy.

Bristol has a "swamp" event which has different topics every time.. Could be roping or spanking etc..They have experts there with "hands on" advice and bunnies available for practicing

SWAMP is specific to Bristol, but 'peer learning' is the usual term used in the fetish scene.

You're right, Fet is a nightmare to navigate but if you stick with it and use the little search box in the right hand corner it is well worth it.

There are lots of events, groups and munches going on around Manchester, which isn't too far from you.

I have met some wonderful people at local munches over the years who I consider my dear friends.

Youtube has a host of videos including the knotty boys, esinem, and twisted monk. There are also a lot of articles on line. Amazon has a number of books if you search under Shibari. Importantly please read, mark and learn the safety aspects if you are just starting.

I understand having safe words and have always left a loop at the end of my work so they can get out easily. Is there anything else I should know about? Only ever done with meets who know what they are getting

Agree with this. For what you're looking for, it's the better site. Once you've got used to it, it'll be fine. There's plenty of peer group workshops/groups around the country. Plus there's specialised groups on there that can help you

I am only starting but points highlighted to me were also a knowledge of pressure points and nerve damage, understanding circulation and warning signs of loss of circulation. Regular checking of the bottom. Being aware of the need for aftercare.

Stick with this site, it's the best on the fetish scene, you need to get yourself to some munches and trade fairs, Birmingham bizarre bazaar is A good place to go

We run the Midlands Peer Rope workshop here at Xtasia, might be worth the 1 hour trip down the M6. Not sure another is running at the moment at Stoke as used to be at Adventures. If nothing else you will meet other folks from your area here, so contacts can be made. Ours is the 3rd Sunday of the month currently, 5pm to 10pm.
