Just wondered what other fab users think about social meets? On a site where most males complain about getting no meets most seem to have an aversion to a social. From personal experience my best meets have all began with a chilled social...personally I think it's the best way to ascertain if mutual attraction to play is present. Maybe it's me that's odd

From personal experience, most whingers are attached so haven't got time for anything more than a fuck and go.

That's why they whinge so much and don't take advice, they get stressed coz this site is not free escorts/prostitutes and they can't get what they want in a tiny time frame when the mrs has gone out.

I don't care that much about socials, i know what i want and go for it, but yeah you'd think that any guy wanting something from someone else would take his time and be patient, but like i said they don't have the time to be that.

Funnily enough, my homepage is constantly full of the same men advertising a meet today, and when ever I advertise for a social meet? Not one of them messages, now I always wonder why that would be? I know I am not everyones cup of tea, but I am suspicious that unless a hole of some sort if guaranteed they are not interested. Only the one's that get it understand why a social meet in public for a single female is important

Normally meeting someone for a meet would be great for me as I don't have a particular type but every now and then there will be someone that for whatever reason is a straight no. It saves a lot of embarrassment and loss of face for both parties if that first meet is a social.

If my wife meets as a single we both agree that it's best all round if it's someone we both have met, usually for a threesome, or she meets for a social.

In any case we would expect the meet to take place in a club.

When we meet people as a couple we expect a drink and a chat in the club or at a party.

Having said all that some of the most exciting occasions have been in a couples room where someone has asked to join us or we have asked them - love it.

I nearly always do a social first but it depends on how long I've been talking to them ,I had been talking to someone months before we met had sex first meet then met for about a year and a half after that so it can work .

Those meets I've had without a social first have always end up as a one off. At best they've been ok at worst hugely didisappointing for various reasons.

I suppose I see those one off as similar to a one night stand which I can have without being on FAB.

I personally prefer not to have a social before hand. There is only one reason I'm on here for and I do not get enough time as it is to met let alone make time to socialise as well. I use my time on here to get a rapport with a potential meet and have a pretty good idea if fun is going to happen or not. There is no commitment or guarantee that fun is definitely going to happen when you do meet anyway; each party can still say NO. A drink and a chat is just wasting my time

Everybody has their own way off doing meets...but even after chatting on here for a while its impossible to know how we'd get on in person....and meeting someone and realising that theres no spark there at all is not my idea of fun...but appreciate everyone has their own views

Way back in the days before all this swinging malarky was fairly mainstream, social meets were rather popular- although it wasn't so much of a 1-2-1 social but more like 100-500 swingers descending on a city, block booking every hotel room within 5 miles, drinking a bar dry then back to the hotel for more 'socialising'

It was a great way of finding out who you wanted to meet up with later (and more importantly, who you thought sounded good online, but was totally different in real life )

I like a social meet...it can let you both know if sparks will fly the next time, or whether you both need to look elsewhere There's nothing lost if you both enjoy a nice chat over a cuppa or a drink somewhere. And if the attraction IS there, there's always the opportunity to take it further on the day if that's what both parties want to do

I always do social meets first too. I've had people nothing like their photos show or found that although we've had a good chat on here there's no chemistry when meeting in person. I don't think it's odd at all although I do envy those that are self assured enough to just go for it.

As many others have said, important to see if you click and also allows an easy 'get-out' if the chemistry just isn't there.

I like hosting socials/coffee mornings where it is made clear from the start that there is no pressure or expectation on anyone to play. However if any of the guests find there is a spark between them then they are free to use either of two rooms upstairs.

So far there has always been some playing of one extent to another

Nearly all of my first meets have been their place or thier hotel we get to know each other there and maybe have fun.

"Social" seems code for "public" rather than actually getting to know someone I've learned much more about people sat together on their couch or talking in bed than I have sat in a cafe or a pub.

But from the single guys side of it a lot of "socials " when advertised fairly regularly by certain women seem very much "I'm bored and I want someone to come pay for a day out".

I always want a social meet first to see if there's an attraction there. I've chatted to people online & liked the sound of them but when I've met them in the flesh, they've done nothing for me. If I'd gone ahead & booked a hotel before meeting them, I would have been very disappointed.

Have had one social and one play meet so far. The social meet was an absolute disaster. The play meet was absolutely fantastic. But on the play meet we went out to the pub as well and had a great evening before going back to the hotel for fun. Had more of a social on that meet than the social meet!!

1 it's safer

2 if there is no attraction you can politely decline.

3. It's not easy to get your personality across in a profile or message.

Have had one social and one play meet so far. The social meet was an absolute disaster. The play meet was absolutely fantastic. But on the play meet we went out to the pub as well and had a great evening before going back to the hotel for fun. Had more of a social on that meet than the social meet!!

That is exactly how my actual social meet went! Other stuff turned it into the disaster but that didnt help.

Most of our meets have been at ours or someones home with no pressure. Its what we prefer but not set in stone.

Sometimes it been just drinks and giggles and sometimes if agreed it turns into more.

We find it more relaxing and easy to chat than in a pub or cafe.

The couples I've done social meets with in the past have turned out to be , husband pressuring their wives to play.

Depends on how you look at it. I'd say you've had good luck- better to find out at a social that you're not compatible.

This... I've experienced this too.

If someone is willing to get in my pants then they can at least be willing to share a coffee first.

I like options of afters, so if it's obvious it's gonna be game on, then back to theirs or a cheeky snog and feel in the car before a full meet next time. .. and I do love the anticipation knowing when the chemistry is right and you both want each other but have to wait, makes the next meet exciting.

We run a social event in Sussex , and it's surprising how many guys want to come .....until they find out it's "just" a social evening ( no play involved ) we have maybe 40 single guys asking and 3 or 4 might actually turn up ....never can understand why , you get out of this site what you put in and if you can't be bothered to mingle you reduce your chances of anything else in our experience

How could people just want to get straight down to it. Surely you want to check there is a connection over a drink. You can only get so much over texts and photos. If you agree to a play meet (with no social ) what happens if the person turns up and have been dishonest in their pictures and description? Yes you can see a person on cam but chemistry happens in the flesh too.

It could be all there during texts,cam and a phone call but at the point of actually meeting for the first time there may be something that could seriously put you off. Everyone is gonna be pissed off to find everything is not going to happen. That's why a social meet is important.

If I wanted to fuck just anyone then a social isn't needed as it becomes irrelevant.

Generally i do. met a few people at munches/events/parties, that i knew online and had seen pictures of them but when i met they either looked nothing like their pic or we just didn't click in person.

I have to find someone physically attractive and have that mental connection most of the time- although i'd never rule out a short notice meet if my gut instinct said it could be fun- i once drove 200 miles for someone i'd only spoken to online and seen pictures of, fantastic night and we're still friends almost 10 years later

I've never had a social meet first and I have never had a problem with there being no chemistry. Maybe I've been lucky but I like to think that I'm pretty good at getting to suss people out before meeting. Socials aren't always necessary to ascertain connection. And I don't just fuck anyone either....

I have no intention of inviting a stranger into my home without meeting them in a social environment first. The way I play I'd also think a man mad if he didn't want a social meet first to establish I'm not going to rob him whilst he's hanging from hooks in my playroom. Some have asked for two social meets.

I always meet for a coffee during my lunchtime or a drink after work. Coffee is next to the shop I get my lunch and the pub next to the station where I catch my train. Should they not show up I was getting a sandwich anyway and going home: no time wasted. Play meets are arranged on my flexi day when I'd be at home anyway.

It works for me. Not had a no show to date.

To be fair I do prefer a social first as its a great way to get to know the person more and check to see if there is an attraction after all. I have only met once where we did not have a social and got straight to the point so to say but we had chatted for a very long time beforehand and the distance between the two of us lead us in that direction. You stick with what you feel comfortable with and if others do not like it then they are not for you. GL

As an inexperienced couple looking to play with a guy it is amazing how many expect to just rock up and screw the missus within three or four messages! That said, most are polite, we havent had any abuse. The funny thing is, we've had more block us when we've got as far as talking about meets than actually are up for arranging something... what are we doing wrong lol??
