Question for all

"How long would you wait for a party to turn up for a social"

This bearing in mind the meet place is a bar or pub unknown to yourself and the locals see that you are waiting for some one...

Would love to hear how long you would wait

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

One drink or half an hour, whichever is the longer.

But I always take my Kindle with me so even if the venue is full of locals I don't look too concerned or worried while waiting.

I wait in the car lol

Half hour would be the most I'd hang around for!

If I felt comfortable in the venue a maximum of 30 minutes. If I didn't, then I'd wait outside for 5 as there would little excuse for not getting a message to me.

I wouldn't go if I didn't hear anything within 10 minutes of the time I needed to leave telling me to do so lol

I am the sort of person, I don't do "it's pre-arranged so just get there at the agreed time" I understand that time is fluid and never works out exactly how I want it to so I would expect regular updates on where we stand (I will text before i leave the house to ask if they will be ready before I get there if I leave at (x) time lol)

I text them on the day to make sure we're still ok. I let them know if I'm running late and expect the same. I wouldn't stay long if we weren't texting about running late.

I'm not bothered about sitting on my own in a pub though. Especially if they are all strangers. They can think whatever they like.

Probs an hour max if not heard. If it's a play date your urges would keep you there longer. Let's face it sitting there on your own isn't very social.

You felt guilty why? Half an hour is plenty. Suppose it depends if they had your phone number and could let you know. Chin up.

I'd wait half an hour. Once I waited 2 hours for a couple. They were texting saying they were on their way, then stuck in traffic, then just ten minutes away....they never showed. I got home to find my rabbit had died so was a crap day all in all. Half an hour is my limit now.

1/2 an hour was plenty. What kind of idiot fails to turn up for a meet with a lady that must have made a huge effort to have the courage to be there. Horrible, stupid, silly, rude people that spoil it for all of us that are genuine.

Rant over

and breath..........

15 minutes for me and one drink or coffee. I once waited over a hour on one social and a half hour for another a week later. Not any more.

I gave someone the benefit of the doubt once and waited nearly an hour. I hadn't realised the tube network had gone into meltdown that evening. I was glad I had waited for her once I found out

If on own would wait 30 mins max, as a couple we would just have a few drinks as leave when we felt ready to have some fun at home.

3o minutes sounds about right if you didn't have any contact saying they were late...after that it would seem unlikely
