blocked profiles..

So you block a profile and hence a particular guy because you are not interested in a meet and they keep sending messages....no problem...

Until I opened my messages this morning and there is a profile with a body shot and a polite message....do friends invite to see face pics - and it is only the guy that I have blocked several months ago - but he now has a new profile, joined 3 days ago.....

this could be a very common practice - profiles get blocked - so the individual/s just closes it and starts another one....

It happens all the time, doesn't it? Hard to see what anyone can do about it, except for you to report to admin that he has used a new profile to get around your block.

The best way is to block newbies so if they open a new account they can't contact you

Yep. We blocked a guy once only to receive a long angry and abusive message from his other profile . We did laugh.

Happens alot.

Yes you can set your filters to stop new profiles from mailing you, but I believe that filter only lasts for their first week on site.

Filter non verified profiles only lasts until they are photo veried

I believe you should be able to filter by meet verified instead of lumping them both together.

Out of all the people i have interacted with on here, only two guys have made a new profile and contacted me on them, after being blocked (one of them made 4).

So although it happens, i don't think it's that common for people to do it to get round the block.

It would be a nice feature to have on here that people could only message if their was a mutual like. Like on tinder .

Would remove all the blank profiles too. As they wouldn't be able to get their kicks

Ignore him. Leave his friend invite so he doesn't have to re invite and delete every message he sends without reading them. He might get bored eventually, worse ways he's having a wank over your public pics.

I've just told him i'm not interested and asked him not to message me again. The blocked and reported him.

It's not that big a deal really, if they're stupid enough to keep creating profiles then more cool them. Just keep blocking, it takes seconds to do.

Failing that just block all newbie or all men and search for the ones you want

I've had it happen, same guy but had come up with 4 different names. I've blocked everytime because he gets abusive. He sent me a message on pof as well.

All because I said he wasn't what I was looking for.

It's not as much of an ego boost to do that.

Sorry, was a bit disturbed to get a message from that guy and didn't really read your reply properly.

Only the 3rd time he joined he didn't let on who he was, and i did end up chatting to him and then he sent pics after a few weeks and it honestly made me jump when i saw them. Wasn't expecting it to be him. All other times he let's me know it's him straight away and didn't hide anything.

How many messages did you send? I've got one guy i used to regularly meet harassing me a fair bit, repeat messages to my phone my whatsapp (until i blocked him there) and on here. Not blocked him yet, getting to the point where i might do because although i liked meeting him this is a bit much, like several a day and calls. I leave my phone at home and missed two messages and a call and it's like he's gone mad, but did seem a bit territorial when i used to meet him.

Dunno what happened to the 2 messages rule? You know where if 2 messages are ignored wait for them to be replied to before messaging someone again.

I kindly got blocked tonight by a couple for not responding to their message as quickly as they wanted! I read the message as I was about to go into a meeting and came back out to a sarcastic 'you could have said no' message I replied and explained I wasn't being ignorant just busy and got blocked. Never mind

I was blocked because I looked at someone's profile over and over again and knew she was also staring in stealth mode. Only thing I regret is not seeing the better ones I see now back then lol.

What? I'd block you too if you kept looking 'over and over again' that's just creepy dude.....

And how did you know she was 'staring' in stealth mode? Or are you just guessing?

That whole post is a bit creepy I'll be honest......

the filter system is good in its own rite however we have found that single males are making couples profiles too get around this not sure if there is a sure fire way of preventing all what has been said apart from keep blocking and reporting

I have same issue with a lady I rejected months ago it continues to this day all known accounts are blocked she used single female single male couples accounts etc I always report them until admin actually ban the ip address as they can it may not deter folk.

The biggest issue I have re blocks is no matter who you block or if you are blocked you can use basic search if you know the persons age you can see last online and status again fab can surely stop this by making a block mot partiial but complete.

I got a message off a taxi driver whom I had no interest in, told him so, then he blocked me! This was in October I think. Then about three weeks ago I got the same message from him, on a new account, so I told him the same, got blocked again. Just waiting for his third message...

I don't really use the block feature tbh, even when someone is unbelievably rude ill ignore them... A block seems too much like theyve won?!

It's frustrating they can still see your profile though be nice if you had the option to stop new people viewing you aswell as contacting you

Maybe a Facebook style blocking system would be better? In the meantime, just block them again. Maybe filter them out.

Just block them without a second thought and zero response they'll get bored. We get this from a particular guy in Scotland, don't think a single calorie has been burnt on our part with regards to efforts exerted with being concerned.
