name not showing in name search

Can you please help me as i have put a persons name into name search as i would like to block them but when i type it in it has no record off profile name. Now i know they are on site as i see there profile and have even copied and pasted name into name search but still with no joy . Cheers

When you see their profile, instead of copying and pasting, can you not just click in there and then and block them?

If you can see profile why don't you just block it from that screen?

When you do an old basic search you can still see them..whether they have blocked you or not..you just cant look at there profile

Go to your block list and type their user name in the box at the top then press block. If you have typed their name right they should appear on your block list.

It sounds like they may have already blocked you if you can't find their profile, but you can still block them following the advice above.

The username search can be a bit temperamental. It actually works better if you put in part of the name instead of the whole name.

Having had this problem today also. Click on your own profile then click on the url at the top of the page. Change your username for the other username and it will bring it up.

If you have never had contact then you will not be able to use the block link as you will never see their profile

You can block..even if they havent contacted you...just type in the name in the block box correctly and its should block them..you can also check if its worked from your blocked list

You can still block them by typing in there name in the block list

To block someone who has already blocked you, regardless of previous contact, go to your own block list and type in their user name in the box, this then blocks them

Ok so we figured it . The box is not available on the phone app. Only comes up on the desktop site.
