worse excuses for not meeting

Hi I was talking to a couple a while back I asked them if they wanted to meet up for a coffeee and a chat there response was. "No thanks we don't know you" how are you supposed to get to know someone if the don't want to meet socially lol. Just wondering has anyone else had experiences like this

We had arranged a meet only to receive a text informing us he would have to cancel. His reason was he had been to the gym and had got his earphone stuck in his ear and was now at A&E. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and rearranged the meet. On this occasion we received a text saying he couldn't make it as he had to babysit his sister's children. We didn't bother arranging another meet.

Although it sounds like an excuse, last May we had to pull out of a meet a few hours before the guy was due to travel to us as I had to have emergency surgery as my appendix had ruptured! We'd been waiting months to meet too! I sent him a pic of me looking grim with a cannula in my hand to prove it

We once got abducted by aliens..after being anally probed I wasn't really up for the meet so we cancelled last minute..

A few weeks ago I'd been chatting to someone about possibly meeting up that weekend, as I had a free one - we didn't get as far as actually making an arrangement, but then I messaged her to say I wouldn't be able to make it after all as my (step)grandson decided to be born a week early, arriving on the Thursday night. I dropped everything to make sure I could go and visit the little fella over the weekend and would do the same again, every time, in a heartbeat...

Had two no shows in two weeks. no message from one, the other one said he overslept as he did a night shift night before. I didn't rearrange when he asked

Might have been scared that you turn up to the meet driving a tank Worst excuse single guy arranged to meet spent ages getting ready "no show" then at 2am a call "want to meet? Had to pick up son in London"...didn't he know that before hand .. put the phone down on him.. That was the worst had others

Yes.....days of txt tennis, a girl gets prepared then nothing is a proper "Grrrrrr' moment isn't it ladies! I don't do 2nd chances either so it is a shame. Be honest if you have bottled it - which is what I think and hear its mostly about x

Someone we were supposed to meet said their car had its mot and had few advisory notes in so couldn't meet which was fair enough.

Brother was beaten up by blokes with baseball bats and is in a coma. If that's true how bloody awful if not which I suspect it wasn't, what a horrible thing to make up.
