It is the easiest piercing to have done as the skin in so thin. You may be given the option to have some numbing cream rubbed in first which makes it absolutely painless, or if you like a little bit of pain you can have it without, but it's not that bad at all.

It took about 2 weeks for the swelling to go right down but I was able to enjoy oral within 7 days...penetrative within 10-14 days. Some people are longer though.

No need for any special cleaning, just your normal hygiene routine and 'lady' wipes are not advised.

Sex can be more sensitive but I find that mastubation is much more satisfying espcially with toys!! Wowie!

I have had mine for around 9 years and never had a moments bother with it

It doesn't hurt too much, only for a few seconds. Mine healed quite quickly. It was uncomfortable to be touched for a few weeks but I still had sex. And I've found it certain positions it adds pleasure. I get on better with a ring than a bar. I found the bar ended up hurting my clit when I played with my wand or vibrator too much.

I removed mine after 5 years was great to start but after a while it started to make me less sensitive numb almost x

Thank you everyone... I really want it done but I'm just a bit nervous - I had my nipple done and that was really painful!! As long as it isn't as bad as that

I'll do my research and find the best place for piercings where I live...

It was painful... But it takes a couples of seconds and then it's gone - my boob just throbbed for days after haha!!

I'm the same got both nipples dine and want my VCH done next but not sure because of the pain. Iv asked the same question on a piercing forum and all the girls said it was one of the least painful piercings they had

I'm just trying to work out when I can fit it 7 days with no sex...mmmmm

I'm worried that after the piecing I'll be walking around like I've just jumped off a horse

All the piecing places where I live are in town and its a bit of a walk back to the car... Haha!!

I think the piecing looks so sexy! I really need it!!

Ive a VCH and an HCH in. Did have another HCH and numerous labia piercings for a while too, but then serious gym work took over and they sometimes nipped.

No pain on piercing, but I have a high pain threshold. Took a week to be ok to play, and then a few days after that I was having safe sex with a trusted friend.

i've had mine done for about 8 years, and over time have stretched it to 4mm.

It's not painful to get done, makes you jump though. I was back in a climbing hardness and riding mountain bikes the next day, but make sure you stay off sex for a week or so, and use condoms for a couples of months. It is fundamentally a puncture wound, and getting puncture wounds mucky (or full of other peoples body fluid) isn't great. Usual advice for piercings - avoid swimming pools for a few weeks and hot tubs for a few months. Salt soak it twice a day for a few weeks.

I had mine done a couple of weeks ago and very happy with it. I wont lie to you, it hurt getting it done, but literally only for the second or two it took to be pierced and have the jewellery put in. Absolutely no pain since that moment and was walking about fine straight away, no hint of a john wayne walk at all. Managed just over a week before oral and sex, and fucking hell, already feeling the benefit, although going to be using condoms for the next month or so yet.

By far the easiest piercing ive ever had.

I like both of mine... and was only a few days between piercings so no idea without.

I have a ring in my VCH and a bar across the HCH - definitely increase sensitivity for me.

I desperately want VCH and nipples pierced. VCH I have heard similar stories about it being one the the least painful. Nipples on of the most! I have a pretty threshold for pain but I got my inner ear pierced and that made me swear a little I will admit!

This thread has made me all the more keen for VCH!

Piercers generally advice that you do, just for a while.

Bodily fluids can irritate piercings and stop them healing as quickly. If your partner is carrying anything (and remember that STD tests can miss things) then you can catch them through the open wound while it heals. Even though a piercing might look healed on the outside, remember that the hole is a tunnel and may not be healed in the middle.

It's also often suggested that you avoid oral sex too without a dental dam for a few weeks - for the same reasons of contamination on an open wound.

Everyone on here is so lucky compared to my experience - mine was the most painful piercing ever, and I have fucking loads. I was nearly sick, and that feeling happened every time I took a piss or cleaned it for six weeks, absolutely no sex. Now it's just another piece of jewellery - I sometimes include it in bondage, but other than that it contributes nothing sexually. Don't wear tight trousers or tight pants, even the seams on loose jeans can chafe badly. I ended up using sanitary pads for a couple of days to cushion it.

Had mine about 3 weeks ago. Much less painful than my nipples. Made me jump though lol. Hardly noticed it was there for the next two days. The ball fell off after a few days and it took forever and lots of faffing to get it back on which made it a little sore for a while but was back in action after 2 weeks. I love it now. So, make sure you tighten your balls

Only problem I have is the bar doesn't seem long enough so I'm going to go back in next week and ask them to change it, can't fathom how I could bend to change it myself!

I found it very painful too, I have quite a few piercings but nothing completed to having my hood pierced

I found it heeled OK after didn't have any problems there but fuck me it hurt having it done

I didn't read the instructions and had sex the same say which delayed healing but it's fine and seems to have left me more sensitive, which is fun

I've had mine done for a year now. I'll admit I found it bloody painful but was very quick and wasn't sore after wards was healed within a week and I was having sex after the week. Only just changed my ring into a bar yesterday. I feel I do get more pleasure with mine in certain aspects and love it. Go for it if u don't like it u can always remove it xxx

After you've done it a few times you'll be able to do it without even looking. You just push the new bar through from under the hood and it'll pop through the hole at the top.

I had both of mine done the same day. It did hurt but nothing major.both healed really well but as the months went on the one became very painful depending on weather and it was like constant tooth ache so I took both out. Only to find out my bf never liked them to start with so he was happy lol x

my nipple piercing hurt for as long as it took me to say ouch! same for the horizontal clit piercing, however the piercer said the VCH took longer to heal and was more painful ......
