After years of various hobbies, the most expensive being triathlon.

We thought that swinging Would be a reasonably cheap hobby.

Crikey. We were wrong, to do this "properly " it's not cheap.

Have people over or go to them is cheap.

Your home: a tidy up and a shave

Theirs: shave and a bottle of wine

We've wasted loads on clubs and had blow outs

We would never invite anyone to our home.

Each to their own tho.

If you happy then good for you not going to knock it.

We know we could not.

It isn't that expensive, we find it differs from just over £30 to £50 for a club visit including fuel and drinks (we always drive home after).

Club entry - not too bad for a single woman (although the membership can be steep)

Clothing, toys, lingerie etc - I don't buy new ones for every meet. That's extravagant.

Travel/accommodation - share it with my club pal.

To be honest, its not too difficult to budget a few proper club meets a year. Book hotels in advance, don't throw your play clothes away after one use, share costs, and so on. I'd rather spend the money on a great club evening than getting d*unk in town.

At our last meet we managed to set the duvet on fire, so replacing that has to be factored in under costs.

By having a half decent job and a lifestyle that enables you to do hobbies.

Haha, not quite! There were tea lights on a table next to the bed, all three of us were more than a little distracted, shall we say...next thing we knew there was the smell of smoke, and things were hotting up in a way that none of us had quite anticipated!

a visit to our local club including travel is about £50/£60, we have a campervan so no hotel bills, we play at club or in our van in the club carpark, oh yes in beach carparks too hee hee,

pretty much most places you go nowdays cost that much or more, a nite in the pub or a daytrip to park or zoo ect soon adds up

South East Midlands NOT

I'd have to agree with OP it can be very expensive. I've travelled a long way for good meets, costing me a small fortune in petrol. And although I keep my lingerie after 1 meet its nice to have options.

As for clubs, as a single fem cost is nominal, but having been as a couple too it can be pricey. Not that long ago spent well over £100 going to a club meet with a partner.

I don't have a crap job, but I don't have a great one. And one of the myriad of reasons i'm on a swinging break is actually to save money.

Chameleons at the weekend...£28 entry for 10 hours entertainment....pretty good value we think even factoring in petrol on top. Spend more than that in the pub on a Friday night.

Don't quite know how to take this comment if I am honest?

We both work full time jobs and bloody hard job's to boot. But also have kids and a bloody great mortgage.

Not saying we buy clothing and toys for every meet.

Wish we could buy a club, but can't imagine it's a cheap purchase and would imagine it is a difficult job.

Alot of these costs are the same if swinging in clubs or not, including clothing for me.

Also, if you go to a non swinging club, there are lower costs.

You can cut some costs by hosting more things at home.

We spend a lot

We enjoy it though

One day if our children ever move out we may accommodate once in a while and that would be a whole lot cheaper

It normally works out expensive if we go to a club but that is because we turn it into a weekend away. We probably do that 3 or 4 times a year. I don't meet regularly enough for it to become too expensive and I don't have time for any other hobbies

I generally just go to partys, being a single woman it cheaper eg £5 or free.usually go about twice a month so as I work I can afford £20 petrol and £10 spending money soft drinks and snacks

hotel meets are usually pay half and once every 2/3months very much a treat.

condoms are free from clinic and I buy underwear/stockings monthly which I limit to up to £20 a month.

i basically allow myself £100 a month for my recreational activities infact less than when me and my ex use to go out two or three times a month in vanilla land

All hobbies and interests cost a lot, a mate of mine is a carp fisherman, he carries £4k's worth of equipment and tackle to the lake, drives 100 miles each way and pays a fortune just to sit on the bank looking at his fishing rod. And often as not does.nt get a result at the end of it!

We have spent £200 on a club night out before, taxi £100, entrance £45 and drinks £55. Was completely wankered, but we had a good time!

Roll on next year for another of those episodes.

We tend to drive mostly and of course the drinks are a for the driver, so we spend around £75.

Thought of moving closer to the club though lol

We actually find it pretty reasonable...a club night out only really costs what it would cost to go out for a night out in town, parties are pretty cheap, and hosting at home, we always have a couple of bottles of wine in the house anyway...condoms don't cost the earth and lingerie, clothes and shoes are things I buy anyway...we've always commented on the fact that as hobbies go, the costs are pretty reasonable...

We are lucky enough to live near a popular dogging site and love it !

Flask of coffee and that's it ... great !

Condoms are free from the gum clinic , wet wipes and mouthwash negligible costs ...

So much more spontaneous and more fun than the socially orientated club scene where so much play ends up alcohol induced and later in the night

Clacton on Sea

We tie it in with work so if we are up north shooting we will advertise the fact on Twitter a couple of weeks beforehand.

We also use hotels a lot when traveling so after a days shoot its nice to relax with a local swinging couple etc.

We have tried Hedo 2, Cap d'agde, Fun4two etc to see what they were like, after traveling half way around the world we found more action in Eurekas 90 mins down the road to us lol

Swinging is a multi million pound business now with lots of places fleecing people, shop around first & read reviews before parting with hard earned cash.

Underwear, make up, nails, toys for Kim, hotels, travel mostly covered by work expenses.

A lot of clubs we get free entry & barter on web memberships who belong to our sites.

Our play phone is also our work phone because that is also of an adult nature & again classed as a work expense.

If we couldn't do half of the things above we would find swinging bloody expensive.
