Forum question - why do we need profiles, 90% don't read them anyhow.

So save computer space and do them away ?? Or not ?? Throws question into forum

I'm not interested in the 90% that don't read them, just the 10% that do!

I read the text before I read any messages, look at pics etc. I like a profile that has loads of energy as that's what I'm looking for. I'm not sure how I'd decide if I wanted to chat to someone without one?

We always read profile on receipt of a msg or wink.. but loads we find never bother and do copy, paste, send...shame as the 10% vanish in the mass

One word profiles=no chance.

Load of random letters = no chance.

The best one .....will fill in later..when they have been a member for over a year...and they moan about not getting meets or chats lol.

Oh we certainly do need them for the few totally hilarious ones that are out there. Some intentionally hilarious, some not.

They're not common but they do exist.

it does not matter what you put on your profile or the pics they still don't chat I been back on a while now and nothing

chat to a few and some say its my pics and some say they don't meet any one with out pics but read the verifacations they all have so its the case of your face fits your in

It matters massively. Just look at all the.."Help me, I can't get a meet" threads...posted by guys with one line profile texts and if any pics...just a couple of bad nob shots taken in bathroom, while hiding from their mrs.

Compare and contrast to the guys with verifications into 3 figures.....with decent/humorous profiles that have made an effort.

I rest my case m'Lud

Even if the person has the greatest pics in the world they might be a total knob. Without a profile to try and get to know the person more how would you know if your wasting your time and theirs talking to them and if you have any of the same interests?

The more detailed the profile the more chance of a chat and potentially a meet,

You can have a great long profile and fab pics, it boils down to ratios at the end of the day

Who says that 90% don't read them? Didn't know there had been a Gallup Poll. Judging by the messages we get 90% or more DO read our profile as well as looking at the pics - but perhaps we are just lucky
