"I read somewhere, the biggest one on the increase is the HPV virus which can cause throat cancer, scary stuff, but you try insisting somewhere wear a condom for oral!" Yes this is true as well, condoms are the safest definitely. It would be an interesting idea for everyone to be tested for a range of different diseases before having sex, there would then be no need for condom. It would also be interesting if we could confirm the health status of a person via text on their permission of course - Everyone having their own unique code or something.

"From my experience in the medical background I can pass on some of me knowledge of this. It is possible to catch some diseases via oral sex - particularly Chlamydia, Herpes, Gonorrhoea. HIV is very low risk in oral sex. My advice is keep your oral hygiene healthy. Use mouth wash regularly and wash your mouth before and after oral sex. Brushing teeth is not advised before oral sex as this can cause small micro- scratches and bleeding (hence allowing infections pass on easily). Of course a condom is the safest bet, but oral sex is relatively low risk, so if you want to take the chance, always make sure you are both clean physically too. What you play with should be hygienic - cock, vagina and mouth! " Thank god there are some people on this forum with common sense and educated in sexual health, the more people that practice safe sex the better and once you eventually get to know, trust and respect the person you are with them you can try without but until then, safe sex should be for everyone

There is no such thing as safe sex. All sex carries risk. Until people are aware of this and understand that you can still catch STDs when wearing a condom they will be a risk to themselves and others. A study published 5 years ago in the USA found - "The panel studied condom effectiveness in preventing the eight most prevalent sexually transmitted diseases: HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, chancroid, trichomoniasis, genital herpes, and human papillomavirus (HPV). Condoms were not found to provide universal protection against any of these diseases." That is not to say wearing a condom gives no protection it does but it does not guarantee protection. A condom offers safer sex not safe sex.

In these cases its mainly because of lack of education in use or accidents during use. As i mentioned earlier the most universal way of staying 100% safe(which is probably unrealistic currently) is to confirm the health status of the person you are having sex with -perhaps with an STI screen certificate that can be verified over the phone/text/in person

"I read somewhere, the biggest one on the increase is the HPV virus which can cause throat cancer, scary stuff, but you try insisting somewhere wear a condom for oral!" Not trying to poke fun at you or this serious matter, but I just got a thought of an older lady with a graspy voice giving advice on throat cancer and blow jobs to young teens. "Don't fall for peer pressure" like smoking. Interesting subject, since I love giving/receiving oral!

"Not dissing Carl above here. I met this dominatrix off another site....... anyway she said her dungeon mistress said she'd get more work if she let the punters throat fuck her. She declined saying that she dint want any STDs/STIs and you can catch a lot from oral. I was gobsmacked because I've received and given oral to quite a few, I'd not heard of catching anything On my next visit to the GUM I asked a nurse, she was specialising in this subject. She said it was a slight risk, she said you'd need to injest 7 litres of bodily fluids, or there would need to be a cut/open wound in the mouth........ and on the cock/pussy " What utter twaddle! You can catch clamydia or gonorea without injesting any fluid and without cuts. I'd change clinic if I heard such misguided, inaccurate advice.

"Use mouth wash regularly and wash your mouth before and after oral sex. " My STD doc told me not to use antiseptic mouthwashes as they change the good bacteria Fine to use e.g. salt water Agree about no brushing Precum is apparently as risky as cum, may be more so. Swallow fast!

This does not apply to bacteria such as chlamydia ect. I can confirm this information since I have a degree relating to this area of health.... In regards to other comments on here...yes its true that STI checks can take long, I only mentioned it in an ideal world without the need of condoms. Only a small version of this exists - thats in the porn industry!

"I've sucked dozens and caught nothing so far. I get my throat swabbed just to be sure. I also insist that guys are straight out of the shower before I'll do it. HPV is thought to also cause MS." ... There is No known cause of MS ... Many theories , but nothing proven. If They knew what caused it then perhaps they could cure it?

"I also suck cock without a condom. It doesn't matter what flavour they make them, they still all taste of rubber And I also regularly get a check up at my local clinic " nothing worse than condom breath! Would rather go without if honest ... Yuck!

May have to scratch that idea then. I understand that people say life is about taking risks but will the reality of sucking a big cock actually warrant taking that risk??

I understand that people say life is about taking risks but will the reality of sucking a big cock actually warrant taking that risk??" well I wouldn't enjoy sucking a cock with a condom on.. Wouldn't be able to give it my best at all! So I wouldn't do it and happily go without oral sex at all in those circumstances. I like tongue on Cock/ pussy. As i said earlier , regular trips to gum clinic... Not having anyone but my partner cum in my mouth works for us. We use Condoms for all eles totaly... Yes is still a risk in others eyes ... However I feel there are much higher risks some indulge in... ( Their choices also & up to them) The fact we are all having sex with multiple partners, to some would be a huge risk in itself.. condoms or not . As is breathing the air we breath and plain living at times ...
