A woman just sent us a message about how she is preparing to set up a couples profile with a male fb and asking advice on the decorum of messaging other couples. I've seen a few threads along a similar vain, so I thought I'd share my answer here too.

Everyone is different and there isn't a perfect introduction. We've never sent the same message twice in the three years we've been on here.

The three things we need from a message though are for someone to show that they have read our profile to show they're looking for the same things as us; to have attached a face and preferably body picture so we can see if we're interested in them physically, and to have shown some kind of humour, personality or individuality so we can decide if we think we might get along face to face.

The next thing we always check is verifications. We'd never meet anyone without a few good veris and you can get a good grasp of what a person is looking for and what their personalities are like from who they meet.

After that, if their profile text and pics match up, we'd chat to them, with a view to arranging a face to face meet up, which is the only real way of getting to know someone properly.

75-85% of our inbox is made up of that message, or slight variations. Others may disagree, but we see it as a pointless message.

To us it says "I'd like to talk to you, have nothing interesting to say and hope you'll think of something and start a conversation with me".

It's the only kind of message we'd ignore

I see yes, so maibe a abit more hornier msg to get the blood flowing x.

i just waffle on to anyone me unless they are asking something like do you meet couples or would you be into meeting him and a bi fm fb they just get have you even looked at our profile

That depends on the profile. If they've written quite an explicit profile about what they'd like to do, they'd probably respond quite well to that kind of message.

Sex messages don't do anything for us. We prefer establishing a personality connection through the site and doing all the sex talk face to face. You just have to guage the couple though really
