I find being clear of your intentions, likes and dislikes, what exactly you're looking for and anything related helps... Ok not everybody reads a profile in full but the majority do mine and it's very rare I just ignore messages sent based on them having the wrong view based on them not reading my profile.

Mine isn't the greatest but it's pretty clear and informative

A good profile to me is one that is informative, tells me a little about the guy, what he's on here for, what he's looking for and what he likes while injecting a little humour and personality. Verifications mean nothing to me and not something I read, I like to make my own mind up about a person. I've had great meets with unverified people and crap ones with well verified people.

A good profile is one that tells the reader a bit about yourself, what you're looking for and what you have to offer. Not too long, not too short, not boring to read, no ranting and no slating other site users.

I've had good feedback about my profile bio....just no meets yet! Have struck up a couple of interesting convos that will hopefully lead to a meet in the new year. I'm in no rush though!

My preference is for profiles that are honest, open and intelligent and I don't mind long ones (ooh er). For me, the more detail the better, but I guess we're all different and maybe a balance between detail and length is the way to go. I'm wondering whether to shorten mine actually, it's possibly a bit too much of a stream of consciousness!

You should be fine.

But once you get it re-written defo ditch the "just ask" part. I had brief spell with online dating for emotional purposes (!) I hated that phrase and would never ask the guys I would just judge that they were lazy or pretentious!

On here I just try and look out for guys that go to clubs, I try and spot them in veris or club reviews and hotlist them. Until I hopefully bump into them in clubs!

How many words is ideal to convey what he wants to say then? I would reckon...precicely the number he's used....

I'd say it was very good actually, one of the better ones I've seen, says pretty much all it needs to say.

No one reads that much unless they are invited to through a forum post.

To give an approximate answer,

170 words,

700 characters (no space),

850 characters (with space),

12 lines,

6 paragraphs.

To two last items on my list are the two most important ones!

Could it be because this guy is very much OUT THERE? He has a lot of nice veris that show that he actually makes it OFF the internet and out in to the real world!

Amazing! You have the secret formula for profiles! All this time you should have shared see and we'd all have gotten it right!

Sorry.....sarcasm aside.....I've seen all lengths of profile with any amount of veri's...it has no bearing.....I've got a long ass profile and many lovely veri's

Look at it as a filter, if you don't like the length of someone's profile simply pass them by, its easy.

You wouldn't have liked it if he just passed judgement on your profile declaring it just to short...

It's exactly the length you want it, not anyone else, so therefore everybody has the same entitlement to be as brief or as rambling as they like no?

I thought yours was good before! You seem to join in fine on here. I always read "just ask" as "just you do the messaging cos I'm a lazy bastard" but there again I read profiles in accents depending on where they are based so my advice may not be as useful as someone might imagine it could have been.

You can have the best written profile on here but the factors that really matter to us are as follows:

Are we attracted to you?

How have you come across in any messages?

Are you interested in what swinging is about or are you just looking to get ya cock wet?

Unfortunatly for us when looking for a male we've found that the ones that the fem is attracted to is either up their own arse or a time waster with umpteen excuses as to why they can meet.

Bottom line is that not everyone is going to reply to your messages for what ever reasons. An for us, an maybe others, we would always avoid a single guy who is constantly on the forums asking for advice, when there's dozens of threads that can help but due to lack of effort they can't be ask to read through them.
