Age restrictions.

I know it's a popular subject, and I bet there are countless threads on it already, but I would just like to talk about age ranges for a minute.

Often when perusing various profiles see many people restrict the people that they would like to chat to by their age and it really feels like I'm banging my head against a brick wall.

I have met many gorgeous girls on here who I had a real good chat with simply because they don't prefer my age range but haven't blocked it!!

Is there anyone in the South East/Kent area who doesn't mind chatting to us younger blokes?

to be fair, his doesnt rule out anyones age...its when it says '18-60 only' thats when it is an age mail block, and not a guideline of who they are interested in possibly meeting.

but then paddy i would say if he wants people to respect his age range preference... then shouldn't he respect theres, as oppose to moan.....

people always find a way to moan about the things that exclude them... be that age, or race, or sexuality, or height... or a million other things.....

people for some reason want to focus on those people who don't want them... as oppose to concentrating on those who do!

I think people should be a bit more flexible when it comes to age. It's not an automatic indication of looks, skills and stamina anymore

lol just pointing out the difference to a restriction and a general guideline.Though I do like the complainers with narrow set filters that tar much of the site as timewasterarseholeliarcheats

But maybe its a fairly good indication of other things.

This is a site where people hook up for casual sexual encounters not a job interview none of us SHOULD be flexible with any of our preferences if we don't want to.

Nonsense, I am unlikely to have anything in common, except Fab, with a 24 year only like yourself so why would I want to chat to anyone so young? I'm not here to find pen pals, I'm here to meet guys for sex so stick to guys in my preferred age range.

Why should they? I get all those things from the guys I meet and they're all my own age group, your age doesn't have the monopoly on looks, skills and stamina

I did saya get isn't an "automatic" indication. Doesn't mean you have to be flexible, or you'll have chemistry with people outside your age group.

It's not a steadfast rule...just saying sometimes it's good to try something else.

I think it is also due to the often mentioned ratio on here. Couples and Women can afford to cherry pick due to the sheer volume of single guys.

As mentioned above, for us the younger the better

OP: cannot post to someone with 40-70 only filter..so he cannot initiate contact.

Someone with a preferred age group can message or be messaged by someone outwith the age range as they dont have a filter that blocks any communication.

Thank you so much...I don't know what I'd do without your clarification... but as he says in his post, they didn't have blocks just expressed preferences...my point being, that if it was him, then he clearly doesn't respect their preferences as he claims to in a later post...
