The requests are I find too close if I make a mistake and request friend indstead of hotlist I message and explain.

Or you ccould wait till they accept then delete

Just keep an eye on your friends list. If they accept it, just delete them. No harm done really.

Thinking about it - if they are not interested - they will delete it anyway. And if they accept... who knows ... might be the start of a fruitful friendship. Of course, this is assuming they are your preferred 'sex'...

If I send one by mistake, I always follow it with an apology.

I am guessing that some people send one by "mistake" though.

I assume any I get are mistakes ... and 99% of the time I am correct.

As has been said, just delete them as a friend if the accept.

Did the same before, accidently send a friends request but by the time I had messaged to apologies we got blocked. Was mortified
