Me and my partner have had single profiles on here for a fair while, and today finally set up a couple one.

Was replying to a message we received and had to enter a verification code before message could be sent to ensure we are not "spam bots"...

Never seen this before, has anyone else encounered the same problem?????

Think somewhere in the past we had that as well. I'm not sure if we'd tried to do something on the site but had not logged in - or something stupid like that, cannot quite remember now what caused it

But no - were not Bots honest guvner

Yes, when you are classed as new, you have to keep entering the verification code for a couple of days until they are sure you are not a 'spammer'. Happened to me for approx 2 days.

Think you'll find it happens on all new profiles - will go on for a few days, but then stops.

Oh - you may also notice that you can only send so many messages per day to start with as well.

It doesn't last too long

i have been on here over 18mths and still get it every few mths

I think it is a random check thing
