Forgive our naivety, what to wear to a social, comfy casual, smart casual, smart, smart to impress or other...?

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

For me, it depends on the time of the social.

Afternoon coffee - smart casual, but thats my usual daytime wear.

Evening meet - normally something I'd wear on a night out anyway, so generally a LBD/sexy outfit.

Whatever you're most comfortable in. Personally, I love to dress up, so would be - smart to impress. Just wear clothes that best represent you and you can't go wrong

I would suggest something that you are comfortable in. Depends where you are to meet? Jeans etc for a pub, something a bit smarter elsewhere? Some of my socials have dressed to impress others less so. At the end of the day its the person you are meeting, not there clothes.

Also bare in mind some socials can lead to playing, even if both parties originally agreed just a social meet!

Sometimes there can be a real chemistry, and you just want to tear each other's clothes off

So maybe something a bit nice underneath, just in case

Where is it? Is someone going you want to impress?

I've been invited to a pub social,I'm probably going to wear boots, black trousers and a top. If the temperature takes a nosedive I'll swap the top for a jumper. I am familiar with the venue so I know what to expect

If it was a meet during the week at lunch time then I will be suited and booted and if it was a weekend something smart but casual so I felt comfortable. I wish you the very best of luck on your meet.
