New to the scene

I'm new to this, so can anyone give me advice on the best way to start things off?

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Decide what you want to get out of it...

wild oats sowing?

group sex?

friends with benefits?

try your bi side?

finding that special laydeee?

It doesn't matter which, just *know* what you want.

Then, write a profile that will facilitate that, sit back and be patient. Swinging tends to be an activity for people your mother's age, so you're operating in a niche market.

Quite frankly at your age you should be out clubbing with your mates and chatting up girls, taking them back home and sneaking em into your bedroom not swinging, too many of us aint interested in those that we are old enough to be the parent of

Ignore the "swinging is ok for us but your not good enough" brigade

Swinging has no age rules (for adults obviously)

Nobody should be dictating to you what and what you shouldnt be doint just because you dont meet thier criteria

Swinging is full of young couples and younger women it is full of middle aged people and it is full of older people.

There is something for everyone dont be bullied out of the scene.

BUT

If you want to get anywhere you need a profile, one line will put off 90% of those that might have been interested in you.

Put yourself in the position of those you would like to meet, think about what you would like to know and put that info in your profile

You will only get something out of the scene if your willing to put something into it.

Read and respect peoples profiles.

Try and get along to one of the social events and get to know people.

Get to know people through the forums and chatrooms

Age still being an issue is crazy in these times. I would like to consider myself young(ish), and don't seem to have a problem getting on with anyone that gives me half a chance to get to know them. My advice would be to respect the wishes of those who would not welcome your advances based on age, race, or gender. I'm sure you'll enjoy finding your feet.

I'm not bullying him, everyone has a right to be on here, i just think surely at his age thats what he should be doing? And im slightly fed up with the youngsters messaging me without reading my profile (par for the course), it just seems to have got worse since the school holidays arrived.

And if you do a search, this must be the forth whinging single guy this week hence my cynical attitude

I share your view: I find it sad that a 20 year old is swinging - nothing to do with bullying, just as I find it sad when I see 20 year old with several kids in tow...I have children, doesn't mean I think only I should have them and young people shouldn't it's just my view that a 20 year old should be out having fun, not living it up watching Balamory!!

I prefer playmates around my own age and it says so on my profile: getting messages from 18 year olds don't annoy me - I just block and delete without reading.

OP you've found yourself onto the forums, take it one step further and look at profiles from other members to get some idea and tailor your profile so people know about you: what you want and what you have to offer.

There are hundreds of single men out there who struggle to find meets - that's your competition - as it stands your profile doesn't have a lot of appeal.

expand your profile tell peeps about you what you are looking for can you accom id so when can you travel etc plus some more pics are a good thing but my best tip is be honest with yourself and very honest with others

one piece of advice as a young guy is be patient!

also, sending messages like "fancy a shag?" don't work!

just be yourself, but be yourself in a way that interests people.

There is a difference between thinking that some are too young to swing and telling them not to.

OK so you dont think younger guys should be swinging but your still willing to offer advice in case he chooses to stick around, I see nothing wrong with that.

But I do ask the question ... to everyone

Why shouldn't younger guys, girls, couples swing.

OK they can go clubbing, clubs are a great place to find girls, drugs, binge drinking, fights and knock backs.

Swinging on the other hand "mostly" offers drug free fun, alcohol use not abuse, uncomplicated no strings sex, some really great social events, social friends, experiences that normal dating often doesn't offer and above all, apart from the odd domestic no violence.

Older younger guys 25+ can also experience swinging clubs a safe, drug free, d*unk free, fight free environment to enjoy some good no strings sex and a whole new wealth of knowledge to be had.

Of course there are exceptions to all rules, there is no doubt that some people take drugs at clubs but it is done very discreetly and they are not being pushed on people in all corners clubs are very quick to ban people found to be using them because unlike many nightclubs swingers clubs dont do as well in the presence of drugs whereas nightclubs would probably be barren wastelands in this day and age without recreational drug taking.

So if I had a son or daughter who wanted to go to a swingers club at 18 instead of the nightclubs I would sleep happier.

I see your point, i really do but i just think that clubbing etc is all part of growing up, learning about the different likes/dislikes of women, and men for that matter, learning lifes kills, gaining experience from growing up at a normal rate not coming onto a swinging site for a shag and/or to learn from an older woman as really thats all they want isnt it

I got dragged inta swinging through my bi side when i was 17 and have always felt safer with likeminded peeps than i ever did nightclubbing xx
