Crossing the line?

Can I ask some advice? I chatted very briefly on Fab, to a guy, never even mentioned a meet as it was really early on, (literally a few messages)

Anyhow I was out socially on friday with a lot of friends celebrating my birthday, and this guy came over and started trying to join in and chat me up and going on about Fab and us having messaged, and wanting to get more intimate. I politely told him I was on a social night out and didnt want to discuss anything Fab related and that he'd over stepped the line, but he just kept saying I was leading him on...

How do you feel?

What would you have done in that situation?

I would go mad at that total invasion of privacy. I do hope you have bloody blocked him.

However, how did he know where you would be and what you looked like to be that confident it was you?

Not sure what you could have done without drawing more attention to yourself. That's awful and I'd have been very upset. Discretion is clearly a word that isn't in his dictionary

I've seen Fab members at my favourite bars before. If members live close then the chances are they'll see each other at some point. He overstepped the line.

I live in a small town, there is only one pub. I didnt tell him I was going out at all, he just happened to be in there, and said he recognised one of my tattoos.

This is why it was a little creepy. I had no clue it was him til he started going on about Fab..

Did he go away eventually or did you leave ? And did your friends ask who he was? Must have been awful.

he left in the end, but I had to just pretend he was some d*unk young lad... very embarrasing. Id never dream of doing that to anyone I saw or recognised from Fab. Discression is a big must for me.. especially when living in a close knit area...

We are happy to meet local people. I think you just had a particularly bad experience with someone who doesn't appreciate the discretion that most people want from swinging.

Good Lord no, you weren't the one in the wrong.

Lots of people misunderstand discretion from openly criticising people they've met in the forum to the type if thing you describe.

Brighton - even Hove!

It's indiscreet to approach someone so blatantly when someone hasn't actually been invited to meet.

Creeps me out when someone just messages me in here to say they've seen me out and about, coz I have no idea who they are...I never reply to these messages to confirm who I am and set my pics to friends only coz of this too.

One guy does always send me his pic so I don't find him creeoy creepy coz now I know who he is.

I agree, with both points, especially blocking locals if you are in a small town

Well for starters, Photoshop any identifying tattoos out of your pics. I don't know if you use it on your phone, but make sure Who's Near is turned off also. And make sure you only speak with guys from an acceptable distance away.

Unfortunately living up here has it's drawbacks, everyone knows everyone. If you're like me and don't give a monkeys toss then that's fine, otherwise it's a pain.
