Help with buying a mobile

Hi all . I am looking to buy a used unlocked . Samsung galaxy 3 or Iphone 4 . I am ignorant when it comes to phones . So just looking for advice has to what i should be looking to pay for one so i dont get ripped off . And any advice on best places to find one . Thanks

i could go cash converters or similar store , if u pay cash u could get money off or u can pay monthly x

i get 150 mins, unlimited texts and 250mb for £10 a month on vodafone but i use wifi a lot when i'm home x

Only thing to watch out for on iPhone 4s is the battery as it has a limited lifespan. I've just upgraded so my 4s is two years old and it's been given some hammer so the battery is pretty shot and would die at 22% battery or more much to my daughters disgust. £20 later for a new one and fitted cos I was too wussy to try it myself and its like a brand new phone again so my daughter is happy

The s3 has a replaceable battery and a sd card slot. So I think it's the better choice. But if you can spend a few pennies more get the s4, s4 mini, HTC one older version might be in a good price range by now

Plenty of 2nd hand mobiles.

Recently got a iPhone 4s for £170 from the high Wycombe store, as mine broke.

And contract upgrade isn't until next month.

Just don't log into there shop wifi it's called

Check out what the sites that buy them ate paying - that's a good baseline. They offer lower risk than ebay for sellers. Aim to pay around that price and cash in hand is attractive to many, no need to wait for payment. Also ask around phone shops as you may get greater security on second hand than private purchases.

I changed from ip4 to a Samsung 3s and got to say its so much better.just like what has been said before you can get to the battery.SD card and its not a glass screen and there are lots of other good features you can hide photos and apps which is a good thing

Gum tree is also a good place to look x

My vote is also for Moto G - got the 4G version from that supermarket..less than £150, full 12 months warranty. Great battery life and latest Android. Better than my old Galaxy 2 and that was/is a decent phone.

Look for a 4s on iPhone as you can set up wifi hotspot on it. On the basic 4 you can't do this.
