I won't presume, but I guess that's their way of saying 'thanks but no thanks'. Unless they're looking for another type of guy and it says so on their profile. There could be several reasons, either way - nothing personal so just move on.

op, cant you answer this one yourself? personally we don't think you look overly atheletic?? but seen as it could mean anything from a jockey to a sumo wrestler then do you need to be worried what someone else may have thought of you? mo farah is an athelete and you look bigger than him lol

It's called preference. As hard as it is for some people to believe not everyone finds a ripped and muscular body attractive

They may want a more rotund gentleman.

You're complaining that someone has told you that you're TOO athletic, yet on your profile, you list yourself as that body type.

Sorry but, what's your point caller?

The old "athletic" body type. Bit of a grey area to be honest.

I wouldn't class myself as athletic at all which is why I chose "Slim"

It certainly is preference. It's not all about the body, it's about the personality and looks. There has to be an attraction and that's more important

If it's just one person who has said this then don't take the comment at face value, it's a polite way of showing disinterest. If multiple people have made the same comment then perhaps there is some truth to it. I'd take it as a compliment if anyone said that though haha.
