When do you put the condom on?

Ok this is probably a dumb question. I'm presuming the answer is 'just before any form of penetration occurs'. But I did want to double check before I feel like a nana.

When my wife and I make love we do so bareback until we reach the point where we're ready to cum. I put the condom on then... and we go crazy, cumming, and all sorts of loveliness.

I'm assuming with safe sex swinging meets that this is not what's done and that, instead, the man should wear a condom before even the first penetration takes place. Am I right? I hope I am because I'm not too sure the Mrs would be happy with what I might pick up by going bareback even for a few thrusts.

Phew I feel such an idiot for asking this question but it's been nagging me... one of those things I was presuming would be true but suddenly crossed my mind might not be. When I read the other thread on condoms I felt I should just ask it... no matter how dumb it was...just to clear the issue up.

The pill has various side effects and we both feel it is not her 'problem' that needs resolving by her taking drugs, polluting her body, and basically fucking up her cycle and her natural health just so we can fuck... when all I need to do is shove a bit of rubber over my cock

I think that's all I want to say for now... it wasn't my intention to make this thread this personal. I was merely trying to describe the kind of thing we do in order to clarify that what's done on a swinging meet is different. I don't really want to air any more of our laundry out in public than is necessary. There's nothing I'm hiding. I just don't think it's appropriate at this point. Thanks
