Deleted Profile Text - OPEN LETTER TO FS ADMIN

Raynes Park

Dear Admin Team at Fab Swingers

For the past six months, I have been enjoying your site however today I post some picture of me at play for a site - which I did not link to and you have deleted my site.

Numerous people play on here and like to be filmed, numerous like to be published and enjoy the thrill.

My profile is similar to that on other sites and I'm very disappointed that you have taken the draconian measure of deleting text instead of warning.

Why was the profile ok for six months?

I am very disappointed with you.

Phil

You've got pics, on another site? I hadn't noticed, you kept that quiet...

Suggest "Contact" button at the bottom of the page is a little more direct...admin don't look at every post.

Don't know exactly what you've done, but if you've included photos which show people other than yourself then they would be deleted, if you've included the URL of another site which could be classed as rival to Fabs, it would also be deleted.

If that URL has been in your profile for a while before being deleted, it could simply be the fact that it hadn't been reported to Admin or otherwise noted.

Last night in another thread, you did draw attention to your profile as I recall.

More like a blantent breach of the rules really, so maybe an apology to Admin would be the polite thing to do

I was waiting for the "an open apology to ADMIN" thread.

But now that we've said it...he can't win. If he doesn't, he looks ignorant. If he does, he looks like he's been shamed into it.

Why?

My profile had been live for two years with these photos on them.

I didn't have any weblinks / URLs / email or phone number of my profile.

The photos they removed had been on my profile as well for at least a year.

And given the Admin Team are not prepared to enter into any dialogue on things, I have nothing more to say on the matter.

Probably a say of jealousy

"Probably a say of jealousy"

I'm sorry, I have no idea what this means.

What I will say is that I used to have a caricature drawing of me as one of my pics. It does look just like me, if you know me, but it IS a drawing.

It was a public pic for ages, then one day I used it as my avatar. Within 3 hours it was deleted for being a cartoon/not a photo of me.

It seemed odd that it had taken so long, but it was fair within the rules of the site.

So, maybe all this self-promotion you've been doing has brought something to light.

Still, since Admin won't drop everything to enter into dialogue with you (have you contacted them via their requested method yet?), you'll presumably be deleting your profile and moving on to a site where Admin appreciate you....?

Rather than delete - Admin could email a warning so people can check.

It took me a long time to get my profile up the way I liked it and then in one swoop it went away with no warning.

That's draconian.

I'm sure anyone who's lost their profile on any online site will feel the same way.

more north lincs than mids!

As has already been said, sometimes pictures remain hidden until the profile holder draws attention to themselves by means of opening a thread about their profile pictures.

That is all it takes for anyone to have a wee nosey, see that your pics don't follow site rules and then report you.

When you opened this thread, I went to have a wee peek and seen that you had pics of fems with their face on full view .... against the rules for a single males profile. Maybe it was your own doing that brought this to the attention of admin?

And really, what difference if it was you or admin that removed the pics? They HAD to be removed once they were seen. Admin saved you a job, now all you have to do is blank out their faces and reupload and everyone is happy again

I may be wrong here but I don't think that admin start dialogue with users unless it's absolutely necessary. They receive hundreds if not thousands of emails/reports/complaints a day and for a primarily free site emailing individual users over rule breaches would be far to time consuming.

Can't work out what your rule breach was but if you think that the removal was unjust then use the contact link at the bottom of each page.

You broke the rules fella - instead of moaning about how your cherished profile has been ruined why not rejoice in the fact that you got away with breaking the rules for so long ....

And why should Admin mail everyone to tell them that something is wrong ? The rules are there for all to read and if you break them then that is nobody's fault but your own so why start a thread moaning about how hard done by you are

Get over it

think the point being made is if you breached a rule, it may have taken time to be found out , but none the less it was - now why should it be entered into by admin as you broke a rule?

I would ask, on any pay site you have been on did admin enter into dialouge?....never did on any I have been on, but then I b=never expected them too.

Just as a reminder....it's free site and there are people who willling give their free time to help it running smoothly ( and I appreciate that fact as not all of us are easy characters to suss out or deal with).

Hope taht if you stay you enjoy the site

Maybe they were approved under the old rules and under the direction of the old site owners.

It's only when someone sees them and reports them that they get looked at again then taken down if they are non compliant with current rules

I think that's how it works anyway

Stuff sneaks through - humans check the pics - the pics clearly showed clear face pics of women and the profile is for a single guy - who knows for sure if those ladies gave permission to be shown on a swingers site - better to be safe than sorry - the rules are pretty clear. Z

We had played with a single guy in a club and he has some pics of nicky sucking his cock. Admin have approved these pics even though he is a single male.

We have no issue with him having the pics in his private gallery but how do admin know this. These rules are so hard to implement. How poo would the sites recently added pics section be if only 2 pics a day was apporved lol

The only thing I would say is perhaps (as I have had happen on other sites nothing to do with swinging), they have emailed mesaying whats wrong and given 24hr to correct.

As always, its their site and they can do what they want (as i do on my sites). But if you want peeps to use your site, you dont go pissing them off unessessarly(sp?).

But perhaps an email to admin asking what was wrong and asking to put the profile back so you can correct.

But is it really that much work to put back anyway?

As always said in computing. You DO have a backup?

Photos can only show other people if their identity is obscured to the point where they could not be recognised, so it isn't really difficult to enforce - if someones face or other identifiable features are visible, the photo gets rejected, if they are not visible the photo gets accepted.

So far as I understand, thats how it works

Perhaps your original profile has managed to escape being detected as non-compliant to the site rules and regulations until recently.

If I come across a non-compliant profile or post, I would click the report button without fail!

If more people did that then it would deter the idiots/fake profiles/pic collectors. Admin encourage everyone to report profiles for that reason.

In theory this is what the rules state. But in reality the mods/admin allow them on. Nickys face can be clearly seen in the single guys private gallery. I know it may increas work load but a simple pm to the uploader asking for thge other persons profile so permission to post pics casn be given would be the best way forward.

Perhaps once you have correctly reported 10 profiles they could give you a free gold pass. Wouldnt cost them anything but would be an incentive.

As you say it would increase the workload for an already busy owner.......even if they had time to do that, they probably wouldn't, as even if people get permission to use the picture with someone else on it, it still isn't allowed......it is so the rule is fair for everyone.

As there has been a mistake in approving the picture you are talking about, then if someone reports it on the other persons profile, it will get removed.

As an admin of a few sites (not swinging) I understand the workload.

but I still say that a poplite pm first (could be an automated one) to say you have somehting wrong on your profile. Then if no correction then take off.

To me the issue is not there was soemthing wron with the profile (pic or wording or whatever) but that (if it was as stated) the profile was jusr deleted. If any of my mods did that I woud be having words with them!

an automated pm is what we use and it works well.

I think this has run its course now.

The moral of the story?.........make sure you don't break any rules on your profile text or status and you won't get your profile text deleted by Admin. If you do happen to get any text removed, you get an automated mail from Admin to let you know.

Also make sure you only upload pictures that are allowed and you won't then get them removed again if someone accidently approves them.

Simple really.
