I had my Nip pierced about 15 years ago and took it out 7 years ago re done a while back

The breast is in soo much pain inside it bleeding and infection and stuff have a anti biotic cream for it but it's not exactly helping

Now awaiting a more serious appointment to have it looked at

Kinda worried about it

I'm sure all will be ok

Anyone else had a piercing do this ?

I had my tummy button done a few years back it refused to heal and every time i wore jeans or a belt it would catch and the pain was unbearable gave up and took it out in the end. Nothing like you have though you poor thing xx

It's out for sure been out weeks

It's painful keep waking up and it's bled into my bed

You need to see a doc as soon as you can and get some proper oral antibiotics.

If you can't see your doc or go to a walk in clinic call the out of hours number.

I wouldn't leave this til next week. Hope you get it sorted. Xx

You have different antibiotics for different infections.

When you say waiting for an appointment do you mean they are calling you back tonight or is this a next week if you're lucky type of call?

By the sounds of what you're describing you need medical help sooner rather than later.

Call your doctors now. There should be an out of hours number on the answer phone.

I'm always amazed at how different GPs work. Ours always have emergency appointments every day. If you phone in the morning they call you back to assess if you need to go in that day for an emergency appointment or they can even prescribe over the phone. I think it's shocking that someone with these symptoms has to wait to be given an appointment

Rachael is right, you really should seek further medical advice as soon as you can, if the pain is spreading it is quite possible that you have an infection. It will not necessarily respond to an antibiotic you have been prescribed for another infection. Different infections are resilient to different antibiotics.

None of us is able to diagnose you this way, you need to seek medical attention asap. xx

My woman had her her naval pierced one time sounds like the same way ur breast is stayed infected for a while and it didnt take sorry u r having problems.

This makes more sense than going to a walk in centre. As for the nipple to become infected so long after the initial piercing it could well be something much more serious. I really hope not. My advice, don't let your meet suck to hard on it, or wipe his cock near it. For his sake as well as yours.

If your GP suspects that there is something more sinister than an infection you should have been referred under the "Two Week Rule" and been seen by a consultant breast surgeon within two weeks of seeing your GP. Two week referrals for any speciality have to be faxed to the consultant team within 24 hours of your GP appointment, that is as far as I know a nationwide rule.

If the bleeding and pain started directly after your nipple piercing it is most likely to be related to that, if you have been using an antibiotic cream for more than a few days with no improvement then speak to your GP again as the treatment does not seem to be working.

If you are not happy with what your GP is saying/doing go to a Walk in Centre as suggested or ask to see another GP but DO SOMETHING, your health and wellbeing are your responsibility.

yep suffered mine for a year of pain and bleeding till one day i had enuff and took t out, other one was fine tho

All sniping aside. This could potentially be very serious.

I'm sure I'm not the only one concerned that an infection left for too long can progress to blood poisoning or septicaemia.

I'm certainly not qualified in and shape or form but I think you need medical attention today.

If this goes too far it could actually kill you.

Take your kids or drop them at a friends or your parents but please get this looked at.

To the OP...I am not sure why if you have an infection that the doctor is making you wait....as others have said it can turn nasty if left untreated or the treatment isn't working. get yourself to the WIC at least.

I got to see my own gp

Have an abscess inside my breast up into my armpit got high antibiotics and also breast clinic this week do make sure it's nothing else

Yes my nipple also went bad I used salt water bathes till the infection went then removed it all together as it was more trouble than worth
