Is it possible, with hndsight, to take a veri back for eg, if someone lets you down and you no longer mean it

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Are they no longer real? Because that's what verifications are for.

If you really need to retract it, just block the person in question and it will vanish from their profile.

All you can do is block their profile.

If you block them your veri will disappear from their profile and they can't show it.

If you unblock them it reappears and they can show it.

If you block the person the veri disappears, it's the only way to take it down/back

I don't get it???

Either you met them and it was good and therefore the verification is true.

Or you didn't?

If it's a repeat performance that did not happen well that surely does not negate the first meet?

I'm just not sure what can be retracted about the first meet?

Agree with above.

The verification left should reflect on the meet or cam chat etc at that time.

If you've fallen out since, or maybe 2nd time round wasn't as good ... that still should not have anything to do with your first verification as you obviously were happy to leave it for them.

Either that or you verified them before meeting?

If so, that's your own fault

I disagree

I met a guy on my old profile, had a great meet and I left a veri recommending him to others. He subsequently bombarded my phone with messages, including dirty ones popping up when I was at work or in lectures. Repeated requests to stop were met with refusal.

So I felt my recommendation was premature and I needed to remove the veri. I blocked him.

Just block them. The veri will go but if its their only veri they will still have the green tick.

So if someone turned into an abusive stalker after you met, you'd be happy that your nice veri lulled innocent women into a false sense of security?

Fair point I could not understand why a verification would be removed, but now I do.

If someone does become a stalker can they be reported to the site to have their profile removed? If enough evidence is provided? It's not like any due process has to be followed, surely like any club it's down to owners discretion.

It's not something I've considered before as a couple but profiles get removed.

Yes stalkers etc can be reported to admin. But if the stalker contact is off site (texts, phone calls etc) not much admin can do as they have no site proof.

Best to contact the police then.

This is one reason why we take verifications with a large pinch of salt. The most we need to know is that they are who they say they are really although most of us will add a bit about their general demeanour etc.

We've had guys with perfectly nice verifications turn very nasty on us when we've turned them down.

Rectal verification? Must be if theyre an a***hole The reason for retraction was because i wanted to edit something in about reliability/communication. The veri stands. I didnt and dont want to block.the person is real, and lovely albeit tad thoughtless re communication..thats all.

I too have met people for the first time and gave them a glowing veri and subsequently they became raging nutters or stalkers and I regret verifying them and wish there was some way to warn other women, but unfortunately there isn't. I go with blocking or usually deleting my account and starting a fresh as they can just open a new account and still annoy you!!

Give them another updated one if you don't want to block,if it shows them in a bad light they may not display it though

This site could take a lot from how ebay do things.

Both parties click to accept a meets been arranged then both can leave a verification as to what each other thought about the meet and neither party can hide it from showing on their profile and you can respond once to someones negative verification on your own profile.

Then you'll have a much better idea of whos a frigging time waster and who isn't, and who's a knob etc

At least people would be left with verifications that really reflect what they we're like at the time of the meet.

eBay transactions constitute obligation to one another, fab meets should never be like that. Plus, the eBay system never worked when both parties could leave feedback for each other, if you left a negative for somebody, they'd just retaliate with a crappy comment for you. Doesn't work.

In your bed

I am surprised or maybe saddened that people who are at first decent to meet get crabby if you don't follow up with a repeat.

Really sad.

We are terrible for consistent swinging. It usually works in short bursts for us.

It's not a dating site so really no one should expect to be a third wheel. Just that emergency set of wheels you need when it's deep with snow.

Near Bristol

Block them and the veri will disappear but I think it's still counted in the summary. However your association with that person will not be displayed any longer.

If someone behaves that abominably, clearly they should be reported to the site admin. (and it possibly escalated.)

That's why I take veris with a large pinch of salt! I had a few meets where I've seriously doubted that I'm meeting the same person who was actaully verified! Now all I need to know is somebody is genuine and has turned up before to a meeting. Personal contact via messaging and phone will make up my mind for me!

The idea on deleting a veri is wrong as most have said however I think it would be a good idea to be allowed to delete it if you make a typo or mention there name or some detail that you wouldn't want to mention as long as it's done in a specified time frame, like you have in the forum post. I have received a veri from someone I never met by mistake I told the couple as soon as I received it and I'd never show it but it's still there.
