Do people who post face pics on here ever get recognised by people they know, we would like to but are worried about getting recognised!!

Or are you just not bothered?

"Do people who post face pics on here ever get recognised by people they know, we would like to but are worried about getting recognised!!

yes they do.

We also recognise people we don't know in the street including one lady who was bending naked over a sofa looking back at the camera.

If you want to publish face pictures go ahead plenty do but remember there has been at least one journalist in the forums lately and bear in mind that some people don't know the meaning of the word discretion.

It's a real shame as the sexiest part of so many of the pictures on here is the look on the faces!

Really can't take the chance of someone We knows us seeing our pics and showing others..

Shame ??

Not bothered. I'm hardly an upstanding pillar of society so don't really have much to lose.

It's never really bothered me. If I get recognised then I'm guessing they are on the same site I am, it's nothing to be embarrassed about really. If they get stolen and used for something else then so be it. It isn't that much diferent to having face pics on something of the social network persuasion.

The fact we have a young family makes it a bit dodgy, if we hadn't then we probably would post some face pics.

We did have public face pics until someone showed all our pics to my employer!

Lesson learned and we're now very choosy as to what we show.

If you were recognised by someone on here, does it matter anyway. You're both on the site for the same thing. We've been recognised and are friends with the couple that did. We talked about each other's discretion and how we won't be shouting from the rooftops. A bonus is they're hot so we'll be playing in the future too. A great way to skip the get to know you bit of meeting

As a side note. If I recognised someone in the street from here I wouldn't acknowledge them and I wouldn't expect them to acknowledge me either. I think it is quite rude to do so and not exactly the better part of discretion.

I had face pics on here when I joined, then within a week I got a reply to a message saying "sorry but I know you" she then went on to tell me quite a bit about me so I know she knows me quite well and her hubby doesn't know she on here. I have no idea who this person is. So now my face pics are for friends only coz you have no idea who is looking at you

We've had face pics on here and on a previous site for years.

We live in a relatively small town, which we call "The Biggest Village In England" because everyone seems to know everyone else in some way or other.

However, bearing that in mind, we both have front of house jobs in very large public establishments but have never had any bother at all.

We think most people who make the excuse of "job sensitivity" have an over inflated opinion of their position in life.

We know if we were as paranoid as some of the people on swinging sites seem to be we just wouldn't do it, it must be like having the "Sword Of Damocles" hanging over their heads, living with the constant fear of being outed!

People can and have lost their careers due to having photographs on sites like this, if they can be identified due to face pictures it makes that possibility all the more likely. It isn't paranoia its common sense.

'job sensitivity' is a reality though and not due to an overinflated opinion of anything.

I really never thought that it would happen to me and we had public face pics on our profiles.

There are malicious people about and we wrongly assumed that people within the swinging community would be respectful....how wrong we were

It's up to each individual what pics they have but please don't ever assume that you won't be outed by someone who recognises you (even if they share the same lifestyle).

Senior Clergymen, Senior Police Officers, High Court Judges and M.P's maybe but we don't reckon there are many of those on here.

It all comes down to being open and having the front to stand up for what you believe in.

If you try to keep something secret and someone finds out about it your just giving them a stick to beat you with.

What's the worst they can say "Hold on a minute, you have an unconventional sex life!". So what!

NHS staff, teachers, social workers, child care workers.....most staff in these jobs will have an organisation with a policy that lists behaviour that 'brings the organisation into disrepute'

After a 5 month investigation into every area of my personal life I lost my career!

As a worker in one of the professions mentioned above, I would defy any investigation to prove how my out of work adult heterosexual sex life could "bring the organisation into disrepute", or compromise my ability to do my job.

Couldn't the same be said about children with a gay couple as parents?

The difference is that unlike swingers the gay community had the strength of conviction to stand up and be counted and to fight for their rights.

While swingers hide in the shadows, living in fear of recognition, they're never going to be accepted by certain segments of society, although we've found that most people couldn't give a damn what we do.

it isn't about strength of conviction, some people prefer to keep their sex life private and if that is what they want it shouldn't be implied that they are paranoid or somehow letting the side down.

Unfortunately people can be small minded and petty so if it could affect your lively hood then not showing face pics can be understood so it is personal choice.
