Was due to meet a guy in the morning , he messaged to confirm i would and i said yes but he has now hidden his profile .. this would be my first meet off here should i be worried and why would he suddenly hide ??

Maybe he didn't want you to see when he's online. I get accused of setting up meetings.

I'm always open and honest. Makes life easier. But I'd probably get more action if I was a lying wot not

Just because he's hidden his profile doesn't mean he's got anything to hide! Plenty of people do it when they aren't meeting

OP if he messaged you to confirm your meet I can't understand why you're worried because he's hidden his profile, unless there was something else said in the message?

I insist on speaking to potential meets on the phone. This can be a tool to root out those genuine or not. Did this occur? I wouldn't worry about hidden profiles at this stage.

And just because the profile is hidden doesn't have to mean that they are hiding anything untowards

If he confirmed it's likely to be ok.

Reply to an earlier message from him, you can even if his profile is hidden, and say you saw he has hidden his profile are you still meeting up?

It's probably all fine, it would not concern me if this was the only concern.

I don't think I'd be overly concerned. The OP said her prospective meet had been in contact to check she was still okay to meet, so I don't see the problem. Might be worth enquiring as to why he's hidden his profile, but I wouldn't assume the worst. I hide my profile quite a lot and I'm not married nor do I have anything to hide.

Remember that there might be other things going on, I've had a stalker as have a fair few of my male friends on the site. Perhaps he has an issue with someone else on the site and just wants to keep his hard down.

It may be due to someone/thing else. You can still message a hidden profile (easier if you have a message from them).
