Hey sorry to post such a boring query but I tried to verify someone twice and it hadn't gone through. They're a new profile, about two days old, but I've known them for years and actually told them about this site. When I was verified it came through instantly. Any ideas?

Have you ever shared the same internet connection ? If you have you can't verify each other, this is to stop people from creating false accounts

Ah that could explain it. He was using my wi-fi. Thanks for your help

After they have logged on a few times from their own wifi, try and re-verify them then.

The myth that once an internet connection is shared no veri will ever work, is just that a myth.

If they only ever logged on via your internet connection (ie a second profile for yourself) then you will be unable to verify.

And many a forumite have used others' internet connection, then on going home successfully verified the person they stayed with.

Thanks. That's very helpful. He's actually my ex and we live apart now. Don't ask why he was at mine recently ha ha.
