Hey,

Any idea what is behind the thought process of signing up to the site, having a chat with someone and then deleting the account.

First thing that comes to mind is a prank account, but to be honest this one seemed legit.

So the question really is, how many people sign up on this to get cold feet?

Is the answer 142 per day?

we have one on our local feed which appears and disappears with more frequency than the milkman. it's always the same 2 pics and same username along with the same one line profile. And statuses which range from "sex text to shag us now " as soon as it appears you can guarantee a one line message accompanied with a friend invite. I think these type profiles are common and part and parcel of a free site more than a pay sites, but it's a worthwhile downside to keeping the site free. when we receive a message from them we simple reply " back again I see " and move on.

Well there is a certain quality you would expect from accounts like that, and it seems to be more common from guys, at least, I am told.

The question arises, why would it happen to a thought out account.

The time investment isn't proportional to what you get out of it.

It can be a variety of reasons such as

They are worried their partner will find out.

They realise they are looking for more than sex such as romance, love, etc..

They look at a profile and realise they know that person. They delete their profile as they worry that person they know may see their profile.

They join and with hours or a day or so they get so many messages they feel inundated.

They get lots of crude messages

etc

I did exactly this a few years ago...

Got my profile...had a message, exchanged pics then just panicked when I realised it was a guy so quickly deleted everything.

This was way before I learned about settings and blocking.

I think a lot of younger ones get overwhelmed by the single guys so delete out of sheer panicked too...

Well that eliminate my chances down to near 0

I suppose for my age range the fun is just in the clubs.

There's one that appears on mine as well. Appears daily, same or similar username, exact same standard message and stays no longer than a few hours.

Also had bother with someone recently making loads of accounts to try and scare me off here or something but I just report and block lol
