A lot of clubs limit single guys and some nights in some clubs guys arnt allowed in at all

Would say try a greedy girl night, most clubs do them and they dont limit guys..

Also Townhouse is good for guys, wed night is unlimied guys (greedy girl) weekends they limit the guys so you need to get your name down.

Its really expensive for guys to visit clubs so maybe see if someone else will go with you so you can go as a couple?

swindon

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but something JnP said reminded me of what I was thinking the other day...

It's true that clubs are massively more expensive for single guys to attend than couples or especially single females. Now, we all know why that is, so I don't think I need to explain the economics behind it. But I was wondering about the legality of this, as surely charging single males more simply because of their gender is sexual discrimination.

I am not a lawyer but I understand that a private members' club is not bound by the Sex Discrimination Act and can lawfully discriminate on grounds of gender. However, I saw somewhere that a private members' club is one that genuinely selects its members on personal grounds, rather than, for example, accepting as a member anyone who pays the membership fee. So I would take this to mean that clubs don't fall under the category of a private members' club.

I don't mean this to sound like I'm whining and moaning... if anything I'm interested in this from a theoretical legal perspective. I've yet to venture to any clubs so it hasn't affected me personally.

Sorry in advance if this has already been discussed. I'm not very good at finding things using the search.

This believe it or not has been covered before.

1- This is one of the easiest lessons in supply and demand, while people are more than willing to pay the prices clubs will keep charging them.

2- At the end of the day if you don't like the policy don't go.

3- If you think it's illegal take it to a court of law and let us know how you get on.
