What is peoples opinions of phones or cameras being used at swinger socials?

Should socials they be no picture events like clubs?

If someone wanted to take my picture at a social, asked me first and was happy with my refusal I can't see a problem. However I object to having my photos taken in any situation without first being given the opportunity to agree or refuse.

Common sense and respect of the privacy of others surely make this a no-brainer. Camera's and socials do not mix

My opinion also but I thought I would check for any sensible counter arguments.

Who would be idiotic enough to take a camera phone to a swinging party, any good club will have lockers to put these in & if they don't leave it in the car or simply don't take one...

This. I can be very persuasive if necessary.

The wife and I were on a nudist beach in Wales in the dunes where we had some great fun and the wife pleased quite a few guys. We were informed afterwards that some guy had been sneakily taking pics of the fun. If I could have found him I would've shoved the camera right up his posterior. If we want any pics of our fun we will take them ourselves.

A woman was well known for secretly filming guys locally and posting the films on her website.

The give away was that she always wanted day time meets.

I daresay I am in there somewhere.

I'd want to know what they would do with the picture, especially if it was a face picture.

I did some funky dance/ crazy bitch impressions to get outta camera shot ... Mr , am sure thought i had gone crazy! Till i told him ... Lol ... Venue organizer soon told all concerned their life history! Just not on at all!

I love having my pic taken! When I'm out I'm always photo-bombing people.

At the Xtasia Social, I took my camera and Goldilocks kindly took some pics of me in the entrance corridor against the black curtains there. No one else was in the pics and the curtains did sign a disclaimer.

Newcastle and Gateshead

its an interesting question and the answer depends on if it is a normal social in a "non-play enviroment" or if it is a club social....

if it is a club social... not a chance

if it is a social in a non-play enviroment... as long as they ask first, I don't mind... it would look no different from any weekend out in any city centre....

There is a couple on here who organise greedy girl nights at clubs and take a photographer to all there events, know a few people who wont risk there parties cause of the photographer accidentally getting them in the background of a photo. Very wrong.

why is it wrong if they allow people to make a choice?

I agree I think if you are ina private room with someone and both parties agree than that is fine. I must admit I wouldn't like mine taken randomly not knowing what was going to happen to that picture xx

There's a lot of paranoid folk on here !

We have been going to clubs and events for 3 years now and never had an issue .

We need our phone as we have young children and would like to know if the babysitter has a problem .

We have taken pics in private rooms with everyones consent , and often take a pic of people we meet , as they do of us too .

Why worry ?

I don't think anyone is being paranoid the objection is to pictures being taken without consent and if someone doesn't want their picture taken it's their choice.

I've been to a few club events with a photographer and they are always very careful with only getting those that consent in ..

As to the op.... I think as long as someone asks what's the problem xx

There is no problem as long as a refusal is respected.

I have no problem with my picture being taken but it is the lack of control over what happens to it. And I don't just mean risqué shots. I don't want my face all over the net.

I really enjoy it! When I'm out in Leeds or Notts, anyone with a camera is in danger of me suddenly leaping into the pic. Funny thing is I've not yet had a complaint, the other funny thing is, quite a few peeps actually approach me and ask if they can have their pic taken with me, which is quite flattering.

Last month, one lad asked and then afterwards did a bit of a double look and asked if I was a guy. Shocking behaviour.

Because some people are in jobs where being shown to have attended a swingers event would be considered to have compromised them professionally and would lead to disciplinary procedures or dismissal. Those working with young children or the vulnerable come to mind. Politicians, police or priests for another.
